You should just be able to select the table in Word, copy it, then paste it into Powerpoint. It’ll even be editable. You could probably turn it into a picture using Edit/Paste Special, if you wanted that, but I don’t know why that would be better. You could also use Print Screen to turn it into a screen capture, but that usually makes for bad quality.
How exactly this works depends on the versions you have. If that doesn’t work, post the versions and I’m sure someone will be able to help.
I was just doing this today. Select and copy the table, then use *Paste Special * and insert as Picture (Enhanced Metafile). You may need to select the object in PowerPoint and set the fill color so that you can read the text.
There are other ways as well, but the above works well for me.
