Suppose the shapeshifting master of darkness were to unleash an unspeakable evil upon Townsville. Would the Powerpuff girls clean his clock? Or is the dread Aku tougher than your average menace? As far as I know, Aku is invulnerable to anything but the Samuri’s magic sword.
Actually, according to what Jack’s father says in the first episode, it’s not the sword that is important- but Jack ignored that bit of wisdom. I keep wondering if (hope, hope hope) they ever do an ‘ending battle’ to it, Jack will defeat him without the blade.
But back on topic- Aku may be physically unbeatable, but the PPG can often -defeat- an opponent without having to -destroy- them. (IIRC, they -rarely- destroy an opponent. Just send 'em packing). Besides, Townsville isn’t part of Aku’s universe where ‘[his] evil is law’, which I think would put him at quite a disadvantage… Especially versus the overpowering cuteness that is Bubbles!
I can’t believe I just spent so much time thinking about that.
The battle will begin. The Girls will try everything and get stomped. They will then find a very simple way to get rid of Aku, say declaring Bubbles Day and making everything in Townsville so cute Aku will head for the hills rather then assilmulate it into his empire.
Or maybe the tears of the girls will form a magic sword that allows the Girls to slice and dice the wizard like Jack. Either way the outcome is the same: PPG win, learn a lesson, and save the day. It always works out. Put them against a good guy (say, Sailor Moon) in a neutral locale (say, Dexter’s Lab) and maybe things will change.
BTW, PPG stomp Sailor Moon due to her lack of attacks (all she can do is finish enemies). If the other Sailor Scouts are there then Sailor Mercury sets up Dex’s computer HAL 9000 style and bye-bye Girls. But that’s another thread.
Weren’t the archaeologists dogs of the pilot episode of Samurai Jack digging up those red stones in the ruins of Townsville?
And now that I think about it, if it -was- Aku’s world, how would Aku and HIM get along? Or would they? Can’t really have two ultimate evils, can you?
