Even though it’s Friday I’m still kind of blurfy. I was awakened at about 1:30 by a horrible headache. It lasted a couple of hours before I could get back to sleep.

I think a couple other Mumpers were slightly interested last year but the date was too short of a notice. Sticks maybe? Just wanted to get it out there once I found out. Santa Yoeder ordered a very plain and holy black&white “humbug” suit for this year and got a new straw keppe so he’s all ready to fly.
Dog - feel free to clue in any of the more local hockey fans. A Hockey Santa would be a cool addition.

Works for me. Does everyone also think that purple color is the best choice for the holidays? I already have a black sweater dress so I don’t want that. The gray doesn’t seem dressy enough. And the blue (?) isn’t festive enough. So purple or white?
If you can get the dress, boofae, at least we both know we won’t run into each other wearing it at the same time!
I’d send everyone dessert if I could. But I guess you’ll all just have to come here if you want it!

There is a motel in the South Side - want to say its a Holiday Inn Express - since Santa don’t need no DUIs. Just remember if you make a reservation now to check on the cancellation procedures.
(Whenever something like this crosses my schedule I tend to make a reservation in case I can make it. I got jammed up one year for the Morgantown Zombie Walk and ended up not being able to get a room closer than 50 miles. At 50 miles it was just as logical to drive it all the way home.)

Am having lunch: large Honeycrisp apple, black seedless grapes, Monterey Jack cheese. Yum.
Should go out and run a few errands, then out in the yard to do some clean-up.

gt, I’ve been reading along here and there. Stress levels remain high, but I’ll get through it. I don’t have any choice *but *to get through it.

Today is my RDO. I’ve managed to pay a couple of bills, start a pot roast in the slow cooker, and pick up a couple of things. I need to finish my coffee and get myself cleaned up.
I have to run to the grocery store and couple of other places today.
W00t! I got sewing done last night and I only had to redo it once (and one piece twice…). That was mostly because I was sewing slightly stretchy fabric to leather and it kept slipping. I have a bit more to line, but that’s with an old soft men’s shirt and then it’s all the same material. Some of it’ll be tricky - I have two expandable pockets to do and some button holes. And now I’m thinking I should’ve sewed the pockets on before I lined it… Dammit. Well maybe I’ll sew the pockets together on the machine and sew them on by hand.

Ah yes, well, I don’t drink and TVMan doesn’t drive, so we make a pretty good pair!

Yay for Firday! I vote for the first one, taxie, in white. I like the neckline and the bigger knit will be more “forgiving” of showing what’s underneath.

I felt obligated to get out of the house to Do Something. So, I went to get stickers for my recycling container, then to Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s for slightly too many things.
And now I’ve had a French roll with Brie (stuck in the toaster oven just long enough for the cheese to start to melt), some red peppers, and am about to enjoy the slice of cherry pie I bought at Whole Foods.
Also bought chocolate syrup and sparkling water so that I can make a chocolate egg cream sometime soon. I loved chocolate sodas when I was little and thought this sounded yummy. Will report back.
Considering what to do with my evening (other than laundry). I’ll be getting up early to go to the park to decorate for Halloween.

Headed home tomorrow at the butt crack of dawn - I need to be at the airport for 5.30 which is ungodly for a Saturday. Then as always plans have changed so instead of being home until Monday morning I have to fly out 14 hours after I get in tomorrow. I am seriously pissed off. :mad: I don’t get back till Friday then I have to leave at the butt crack of dawn on the Sunday to. again :mad:
This job is not worth it. Roll on May 31st.:mad:

We had a lovely dinner at DB Mc Millan’s Pub, and we weren’t seated in the bar so we didn’t have to yell over the singer who was doing the exact same set in the exact same order as when we were there last time. I feel so sorry for the bartender and the servers who have to hear the same stuff over and over and over…
Then we went to look at a 50 gallon corner aquarium that **FCD **wants to get for his office. I expect it will come home with us soon.
Finally, to Lowe’s to get the supplies to screen in the area under the porch so daughter can leave her door open and let the cat out. Now we’re home and I’m waiting for my mattress pad to get out of the dryer do I can make the bed. A certain cat who shall be filleted if he does it again PEED on my bed while I was getting dressed this morning, thru the comforter, the blanket and 2 sheets to the mattress pad. I’ve washed the pad and the blanket and the comforter - and the comforter is out on the clothesline, since it’s way too big for the dryer. I’ll wash the sheets tomorrow. Stoopit cat.
Plus when I took the dogs out this morning, I stepped in doggie doo. Heck of a way to start the day. But it’s all behind me. I’ll make the bed and go to sleep. I’s tahred.

I picked up some booze at the liquor store and went to the grocery store today too.
Dinner was good; I made a pot roast in the slow cooker with baby red taters and carrots.
