Predict Jackson's Guilt or Acquittal in Molestation Case

I’m not sure any of those are crimes.

No but it will ‘cure’ the majority of them. And for those that it doesn’t the only option is life in prison.

With what? Their equipment has been confiscated.

How do you know this for a fact? As far as I can tell no one really knows except the accused and the accuser.

They are indicators. And there are a lot of them. Too many to be coincidental. And I don’t know why you’re giving me a

Their penises are gone? No, the voluntary castration we are talking about does not involve cutting off their penises. Even if it did, they could still fondle and perform oral sex on others.

Castration does reduce the libido, but it doesn’t eliminate it. Castrated men can still get erections, can still have sexual intercourse, and still produce semen (without sperm). One castrated man writes:

Oh I’m talking about mandatory castration instead of a prison sentence. And yes it would be pointless unless all of the equipment was removed.

And even then, you’d still have sickos who go out and fondle kids just because it’s what they feel compelled to do.

That’s when they get the opportunity to spend the rest of their lives behind bars.

Clearly I don’t, nor did I claim that I did. I’m guilty of not wording that better.

I believe that one is contributing to the deliquency of a minor.

Exactly right. The prosecution’s case has been a mess, but even if it hadn’t… welcome to California, the Wacky Jury State.

You had me until this part. No way does MJ weigh enough to snap a toothpick, let alone a broomstick! :stuck_out_tongue:

Seriously, I sometimes have those “moments” like you describe, where I think, "Maybe he really is innocent . . . " Hell, I actually felt sorry for him after that whole Martin Bashirs debacle.

But in the end, it becomes a matter of perspective; I do think he’s hurting children . . . I’m just not sure he’s doing so maliciously, or that he even has it together (mentally) enough to know that he’s doing anything wrong. I mean, going back to the Martin Bashirs thing, why the hell would he freely admit all that stuff if he thought it was wrong?

I will second whoever said (in so many words) that the parents of these kids are responsible, too. I mean, maybe 15 years ago, it would have been OK to be like, “Hey! My kid has been invited to sleep over at Michael Jackson’s house! How cool is that???” But these days? Who the hell would consent to that?

But as for my prediction, I think it could go either way. I just can’t say. I’m not even sure what I’m hoping for.

It’s interesting to think back 20 years ago or so, back when I was a HUGE fan of Michael Jackson. Who ever thought it would come to this?

I feel more sorry for his attourney. That’s a whole shitload of crazy he has to deal with.

I remember when you could purchase Michael Jackson dolls in toy stores. Actually, I’ve seen a few in antique stores recently…

The whole thing is just too big of a mess. I think Jackson is guilty, but I also think he is so far gone that he doesn’t understand right from wrong in situations like this. That certainly doesn’t excuse any of it though. And I guess he has so many “enablers” – from the people bringing these kids to him to whoever is in charge of his finances – that there is no stopping point for him.

But I have enjoyed hearing about “Jesus Juice.” And I get a kick out of the E! channel’s reinactments – they take themselves so seriously.

It’s all a media frenzy. I have thought this from the begining. Although, he may recieve a small fine or something, he will not go to prison. I don’t think Jackson could survive- literally - in a security prison, especially with a record of molestation.

He wouldn’t be in the general population, but in the special protective housing unit, where they put people like Charles Manson. He’d most likely be isolated from everyone else.

I have this problem with this case. Michael Jackson is too easy. He looks monsterish. He certainly seems odd. Here is the thing; It is just too damn convenient. The world is so much simpler when you can tell who the bad guys are.

Most of the time the people that hurt children don’t look like monsters. They are our neighbors, the boy scout leader, the priest, the football coach, our stepfathers, the elder from church, our grandfathers, uncles, or our fathers.

How many children are not believed because that guy is a fine upstanding member of the community, handsome and well educated, and an all around nice guy. In some ways I think that this case has done more damage to the prospects of catching child molesters.

Good point about child molestors usually not being so obvious, furlibusea.

On the other hand, any adult with an ounce of self-preservation doesn’t sleep with kids outside his/her immediate family – if then. I don’t care how peaceful it is.

That is why I believe Micheal Jackson is probably innocent. He admits to wanting to sleep in the same bed as boys. He admits he is a big kid, wanting to have the sleepovers he couldn’t have as a kid.

Surely there is no one that thinks he had a normal childhood…did anyone expect him to be a normal adult?

Some of us love kids. I love 3,4,5 years olds. I work with them everyday, nothing could make me happier. I have friends (teachers!) who adore 11, 12, 13 yr olds. Enjoying being with kids does not make someone a pervert. Saying you enjoy being with kids REPEATELY is not a good cover for a pervert.

This fuckwit led a (going nowhere) political party for YEARS. He pretended to be the moral compass. In reality he was a fucking pervert trying to get over his own guilt by telling everyone else what to do.

If Micheal admitted to wanting childrens company, to even needing childrens company…well that just doesn’t fit the usual behaviour of perverts, more the behaviour of a sad lonely bloke who missed out on a childhood.

IMHO of course.

You are right! NORMAL adults don’t. Self-preservation? Well exactly…if he did it he must be a complete doofus.
By the way I am not now, nor have I ever been, a Micheal Jackson fan (ok so I liked ‘Beat it’…but it was the frigging 80’s!) I just think that the mother of the ‘victim’ probably needs locked up for allowing her child to EVER be in this position.
