House—The nuthouse will be straight out of One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest; the cause of House’s psychosis/delusions will either be some stupid new-agey emotional/spiritual trouble that will be resolved with crying, or the manifestation of some physical brain ailment that would never actually act that way in real life.
Long shot bet: House knows what really caused Kutner’s death. Because he killed him in a fugue.
My current favourite is Chuck, and I’m really not sure how that’s going to pan out. Something will obviously happen to stop Chuck and Sarah being together, but other than that, I have NO clue whatsoever.
Desperate Housewives: Lynette will struggle with unexpected late life pregnancy, wishing she was dead. Tom will walk around proud as punch at his manly accomplishment, like the ass he is. Lynette will come around eventually to appreciate The New Life gestating in her, but too late! God will recall the Little Angel to heaven in a tragic miscarriage. All her housewife friends will rally round Lynette in a tight unit, with tears flowing and sentimental voiceovers. (Please know that I don’t mean to demean any women who have been in this situation, I know a miscarriage can indeed be a tragedy. Just the way this soapy show goes, this is how its gonna play out.)
I can think of few things I would hate more than that. Mad Men is about the period, about the dissonance and tension between the American Dream and the private emotional lives of the people chasing it. It needs to be firmly grounded in reality for that to work.
God, I HOPE those last two things don’t happen. I don’t know why people keep calling for a bodyswap episode.
I’ve read somewhere that Sam is still addicted to demon blood, so I expect the detox shit to go on for at least three or four episodes into the new season. Also Dean will be guilt-ridden over not taking better care of Sam (okay, that’s a given) and not being able to prevent him from causing the Apocalypse. Then more apocalypse stuff will go down and in the end…the boys will win! And they’ll be all brotherly and shit and they’ll stop fighting (each other). Yay! Immense amounts of blood and gore and fucked up shit will be involved.
Criminal Minds - Hotch is not dead! Duh, he’s Hotch. But he’ll be in the hospital for a day and everyone will be all “noooo, Hotch, don’t die!” and then he’ll leave the hospital much too early because he has to go back to catching serial killers. Blood and gore and fucked up shit will ensue. Hopefully Reid won’t get kidnapped AGAIN, but he probably will.
