I work at a high school, and I’m having a problem printing. The printing works, but it takes a good five minutes before anything prints. It says it’s printing via postscript, and I think that’s the problem, but I can’t figure out how to fix it. Any suggestions? If it makes any difference, I’m printing from a Dell Pentium 4, and the printer is a Lexmark Optra T612. Thanks:)
You should have a PCL driver option…
You can try to install a new printer, and select the PCL driver…
I believe using PCL renders the doc on your computer, and the PS renders at the printer which would be slower…
are you using XP?
sometimes XP installs the driver itself and doesn’t give you the option. try the lexmark site and see if you can download a PCL driver maybe?
