I thought I’d try out Invisible Mode in Edit Options. I ticked the box for that mode, changed nothing else, then scrolled down and clicked Save Changes. The following message was the result.
Mystified I thought I’d goofed somehow so I repeated the process with great care several times, all with the same result. Isn’t Invisible Mode supported any longer on the board?
I think it might be a feature that only works for members. Anyway it’s working for me right now.
I entered invisible mode and I didn’t have any problem making it work. The button beside my name is a nice blood red as I type this.

I just went through this exercise and had the same result as the OP the first time through. Second time through, I saw that this whole s t r a i g h t business is a verification field to be used when making changes in the CP. It’s probably always there for any sort of changes in the CP, but it’s new to me since I seldom go into CP. Anyway, I think aldiboronti is probably not noticing that this field needs to be filled in before saving CP changes to be successful. The error message for failing to do so isn’t clear to my mind.
Huh, went back to make myself visible again, and this verification requirement is not there any longer for me. So now I’m guessing it is a one-time thing that aldiboronti and I had yet to encounter, and that Cochrane probably dealt with long ago.
I don’t go into my CP all that often, but I don’t remember ever having to go through a verification process to save changes.

I just invisibled myself and didn’t have to put in any kind of confirmation. Are you on a phone or tablet? Maybe that makes a difference.
Ah, I see! I never noticed that human verification. Anyone know how long it’s been there?
Anyway, all sorted now. Thanks, guys. (And after all that I don’t think I like that ugly-ass red so I’ll probably change it back.

I’m on a phone right now. But I don’t remember having to enter a confirmation on a PC, either.
