Problem with Quicken

Dunno if anyone else here has this problem (assuming you use Quicken to begin with). Anyways, about 2 weeks ago there was a new icon in the tray. When I hovered over it, it said “Updating Quicken.” No big deal I thought, but the next day it was still there, must be a HUGE update to still be going. Anyways, 2 weeks later and it still won’t go away. Even resetting the computer, doesn’t get rid of it. The big problem is that if I try to run quicken I get a message that says “A scheduled update is currently running. Please wait until the process completes before launching Quicken.” So, now when I need to run quicken I have to go to task manager and stop QW.EXE. The icon doesn’t go away, but I can get into quicken. Oh, and about half the time I can get run it anyways without ending QW.EXE. I’m guessing that whatever is going on, after a couple of hours it’s notices that I’ve stopped it and it starts it back up, any ideas???

I am an avid user of Quicken and haven’t had this problem, but it sounds like your Quicken has gotten hung up on something. I would suggest making a backup of all your data and reinstalling the software. That should clear it up.
