Products that you would endorse.

Landrover Freelander, just the right sized SUV. Not too big, holds our family of 3 (plus 2 dogs). It’s rugged and handles off-roading like a champ.

Oxy-Clean, You should see how clean it got my 5 year old’s white uniform shirts!

British Airways, I’ve had nothing but good experiences with them.

Creative Memories scrapbooking supplies, which is the only one I actually do endrose, as I am a consultant.

Wustoff Knives. There is no going back to Ginsu.

Calphalon Cookware

Jelly Belly Jelly Beans - specifically the cappuccino flavor. 7 calories of coffee goodness.

Asics Running Shoes - I’m thinking specifically the Gel Kayano X

Ibanez SemiHollow Guitars - They sound so good, they’re all I play, hey hey hey

Schwinn Bikes - Because I can’t afford a new one, and my old one is simply the tops

Emachines Computers - I’ve never had a serious problem, and they’re customer service is spectacular

I’ll be flying back to Blighty soon. Mangetout please email me and I can send you a small parcell of green tabasco from US if you would like.

I second Green and Blacks Chocolate, especially the Maya Gold, and their Caramel filled Chocolate bar.

Add my endosements to:

Mozilla

VWs

Rain-x

Birch Telecommunications. If BellSouth is Satan Incarnate, surely Birch is at the very least an Angel of Mercy. Their phenomenal customer service has nearly reduced me to abject tears of gratitude. And that’s not hyperbole.

 I’d have to anti-endorse them: only BellSouth has given me worse customer service than e-Machines, and theirs is the only computer I’ve ever returned to the store in disgust.

Daniel

Body Glide and Runner’s Lube. These products are AWESOME! They keep me from getting blisters when I run.

I’d also have to endorse:

-macadamia nuts (any brand)
-steak (even though my husband and I almost never eat meat, nothing can replace a well-cooked filet)
-blueberries
-freshly-made lemonade. (In fact, that’s what I had for dinner last night - steak, -blueberries & lemonade. It was fabulous!)
-Kiehl’s creme de corps body lotion - really good stuff

Oh, and I’d have to endorse sex, too. Does that come by brand?

TiVo, TiVo, TiVo, TiVo.

Jason Powersmile toothpaste. I’ve had problems with canker sores all my life, but I switched to this SLS-free toothpaste 18 months ago or so and haven’t had a single sore since. I feel reborn.

The Petmate Fresh Flow cat fountain, per my previous thread about amazing customer service I got from the company.

Did I mention TiVo? I did? Okay.

Oh, yeah, and TiVo.

Cervaise are you a plant for Tivo or what?
Birkenstock shoes are the most comfortable every day walking around shoes I (Ms. Torn Muscles in the Bottom of my Footsies) have yet to find.

I would like to add as an addendum to my Econoline Love-In that Econolines hold up exceptionally well* in anything from Minor Fender benders ( being hit from behind while you the Econoline is at a dead stop and the other car’s speed is any where from 15-35 mph.Structurally speaking, the 150 or 250 were fine, the other car(s) were TOAST. ( two different vans - not driven by me - my FIL - at the same intersection.) To Near Front On Collisions. Van was toast, other car was more toast. Everybody was OK.

I still love my Econoline.

My Dyson vacuum. I’m an innovation freak, but a cautious one, and I waited as rave review after rave review piled up on Amazon until I was impressed enough to lay out the $400. All I can say is that if it broke tomorrow I would immediately buy another one, without hesitation. It’s the best-engineered product I’ve ever encountered, which is impressive enough in itself, but it’s also by far the best vacuum I’ve ever had. I pulled up pounds of dust (fine powder, really) from my floors and carpets the first time I used it. Literal pounds, and my house is pretty well-kept (or so I thought).

It’s built like a Mac truck (same stuff crash helmets are made of), never needs bags or filters, never loses full suction no matter how full the cannister… I could go on and on, but nobody’s reading anymore.

Oh, I’m quite fond of Diet Dr Pepper, too.

Oxo Good Grips Potato Peeler. Peeling a potato is like peeling buttah. Seriously.

Crest Whitestrips - I was skeptical, but I tried them and they actually worked! And they’re cheap!

Delta American Express - I love free stuff! It’s $85/year after the first year, but I earned enough miles in 3 years to get two round trip tickets from Cincinnati to Hawaii, for free. Just for charging stuff. The key, of course, is to pay it off every month. AMEX frequently offers double mile promotions and they’re generous with their signing bonus. Since Hawaii, we’ve earned enough to earn another 2 domestic round trip flights, which we’ll use to go to SanFrancisco next year. Woo-hoo!

Crayola Markers - They are consistently superior to other brands.

Online banking - I’ll never go back to check writing.

Google, obviously. From the web search to Google News to the toolbar - hell, everything Google puts out is pure gold so far as I’m concerned, and their products have saved my ass at college on more than one occasion.

Lexis-Nexis. Again, a lifesaver for any political science student. One of my favorite possessions is a Lexis-Nexis keychain bottle opener. JStore is good, too, but they didn’t give me a bottle opener.

And of course, Moxie, which I’d endorse as “The soda that’ll make a man out of you yet.”

I forgot about this wondous bit of technology! Truely amazing spongy thing!

My suggestions are from a homeowner ex-framer that uses these tools a lot. I always am remodeling something.

SKIL. As in Skil saw. Best worm drive circular saw I have ever had. The magnesium ones are worth the extra money. Safest, easiest to use bullet proof saw I have ever had the pleasure to own. It’s bigger than most casual users might need but… The worm drive is the way to go. You will never need another circular saw.

STIHL. Chain Saws. The best. I had a Husquavarna, and it did pretty good. I liked it. The Husky can’t hold a candle to the STIHL though. Not even close (I used to heat with wood).

MAKITA. Cordless drills. Can’t break them. I have a ½ inch 12 volt and I have used it every weekend for about 5 years. It’s got the power to run hole saws, and it’s small enough for trim.

And a car recommendation - Nissan.

My ’93 Pathfinder has never failed me. For 10 years, it has never failed to start or get me where I want to go.

I have to second Philster’s props to **Thomas the Tank Engine videos and books.

One of the best timeless, well written, teaching a lesson story line with the train that sends any little boy into a spazm of delight, Thomas. Tooot. Toot.

Spyderco folding knives. Keeps an edge longer than you’d think possible.

Lindt chocolate. Mmmmmmm.

Vice-Grip vice grips. Generic knockoffs are not the same.

My Streamlight Ultrastinger rechargable flashlight. Yes, I’ll spend nearly 100 bucks for another.

Excedrin.

Yes!

How could I forget. I’m a walking advertisement for Excedrin. I reckon I would have lost my job without it. (I use it for hangovers, not migraines)
