I don’t remember her previous season either, but her hyper-expressive face got on my nerves. Sometimes “Omigod, that’s the most utterly unpredictable thing that’s ever happened to me personally or to anyone I’ve ever known” is not needed – a simple “Huh, didn’t see that coming” would suffice.
Yeah, those are exactly the mannerisms I mean. It got so I could predict them. The judges said something nice so she’s going to close her eyes and turn her head to the left, and she would. Or they threw in a twist now she’s going to make her eyes real big and throw her hands up and shake her head.
Just went back and looked at the decoy collections:
That was a lot of decoys. Alexander’s was pretty dull. Sandhya’s was surprisly not as wacky as I thought it would be and there were a couple pieces I even liked. Emily’s would have been sure to get comments on the taste level, it didn’t look like anything she came up with during the competition. Korina’s was pretty dull and looked like she was trying to copy Amanda’s color-blocking. Fade’s was pretty good, not stuff I’d want to wear but it was interesting.
Did they have to share some fabric because I saw a lot of the same fabrics in different collections?
I don’t know what the parameters are on the decoy collections. For instance, can they start working on them as soon as they’re eliminated? That would give them extra time.

Well, that was all pretty BLAH in the end. It was clear during the runway comments that it was going to be between Amanda and Sean.
I think my favorite collection, including all the decoys, might be Sandhya’s. At least it’s fun and interesting. I kind of like some of Fade’s stuff, but his use of text seems too self-conscious or something.
Leaving fashion aside for a minute, i was surprised that i came to like Amanda by the end of the season. I was annoyed when she was revealed as the returning contestant, because i didn’t like her much last time around (Disclosure: It could be due to her references to her brother, who is a member of Maroon 5, an over-rated group led by one of the nation’s biggest douchebags). But, whatever you might say about her facial expressions or whatever, she has been very gracious in the face of criticism, and generous with her praise for other designers.
I don’t mind some genuine drama, but i also get annoyed with people who appear to go out of their way to be dicks just because they can.
