That was the first season they had the save, yes. I didn’t get the feeling it was a gimmick developed after the fact to keep him in, more a gimmick they’d developed to stretch the season a little further that he happened to benefit from.

Korina - I loved it. I loved the design and I loved the colors.
Char - I didn’t care for the neck, and I didn’t care for the purse on the hip.
fäde - I had mixed feelings about it, but I slightly disliked it more than I liked it.
Samantha - Looked good, but dated. My wife was thinking the 80’s.
Hernan - Looked kind of 70’s. And the V? What was he thinking?
Alexander - Looked great. I loved it.
Mitchell - Nice, but the fabric made me think of a shower curtain.
Sean - Another 70’s look. I hated the skirt. It made the top look good by comparison.
Kristine - It looked just OK to me.
Amanda - Looked like it was fromthe 60’s. I thought it was OK, but I didn’t care for the fringe.
Kini - I really liked it, but I swear I’ve seen that look before.
Sandhya - Arts and crafts-y.
Emily - The plaid bottom reminded me of a kilt.
I would have gone for Kini, only because he actually embraced the suitness (although his outfit was a little hippy). Amanda didn’t even use the fabric, and turned it into another of her short dresses with long hanging stuff. I actually liked Fade’s best, but that’s because I am a quilter and like mixing patterns of the same colors.
SO happy Hernon is gone. What a jerk. I didn’t like Sandiya giving him the finger but I did like her telling him not to call her a bitch (although he seems to call everyone a bitch so it may not mean much to him).
Mitchell totally screams blue leisure suit – it is similar in spirit to the crap he wears. I don’t know why he doesn’t see that!
I was so glad to see the sexist piece of shit leave. All he did was whine and sulk. Ironically he was the one illustrating all the worst traits of a stereotypical female. I was even more glad to see Sandhya stand up for herself. How dare that asshole call her a bitch! His chosen fabric was equally as hideous as the one she gave him.
I really liked Fade’s dress. Also Sean’s. Hated Amanda’s, and can’t believe it won over Kino’s.

I would have given the win to Kino, and like some others here, i also liked Fade’s dress. Amanda’s turned out better than i expected, but i wouldn’t have given her the win. I also liked Emily’s look, although she did have about the best possible suit fabric to work with.
Hernan is a whiny fucking crybaby, and i’m glad he’s gone. It’s bad enough that he kept moaning about the fabric, but even worse was the way he kept saying that Sandhya had sabotaged him on purpose. Get over it, bitch, and make it work.
Speaking of Sandhya, i thought that her creation was actually quite fun and interesting. I’m not saying i would have placed her in the top three or anything, but i thought that what she did this week was actually better than either of her victorious outfits from previous weeks.

And I agree that Sandhya’s look was better than the ones she won with, but the mustache stuff was just stupid.
Agree, Sandhya isn’t afraid to use bright colors but she just tacks shit onto everything. Her first winning dress, with the ripped shoulders, was interesting but since then, no. She is operating outside the normal [sic] design parameters, as Patricia did, and the judges are rewarding innovation just like they did with Patricia but it’s not anything any editor would put on the front cover of a fashion mag. It’s all cheap and crafty. She has a good story though.
I would like to see a basic “make a beautiful gown” challenge to see if she can make something beautiful and flattering rather than conceptual-crafty.
Kino’s dress reminded me of Carrie’s in the first ep: side cutouts, pleated hip detail. The molded cap sleeves are Mouret by way of Dimitry.
Oh hey, I sort of got my wish: the next episode is design an outfit for Heidi to wear to the Emmys. Short tight and shiny will win.
Maybe I shouldn’t, but I’ve always felt funny when the designers have to make a dress for Heidi or any other judge. Isn’t that conflict of interest?
I have liked all of Sandyha’s looks. I like quirky, and she makes quirky work.

Saw that - I think though it was spoiled by the timing, because as soon as it walked the runway anyone paying attention would have figured it out. That said they didn’t have to push it so much more widely!

Well PR seasons always come to the the point where I’m like fuck this show, I’m breaking up with it. I just didn’t expect it to be so early.
That dress from Amanda is hideous, crafty, unimaginative, and unwearable. I agree that Fade should have been in the top if not absolute winner. I can’t imagine the feelings among the other designers who now have been through 4 challenges with 2 winners.
Of course the right person went home, and about damn time too.
Ack! Don’t tell me! I can’t unsee that there will be a double elimination next week. I need to not watch the teasers for the next week!
And here I thought you were talking about the dress Heidi wore to the Emmy thing, which is all over social media – revealing the winner to anyone who’s following PR or other feeds, like TLo, which is where I saw it.
Didn’t they used to be more careful about this shit?
