Project Runway 2/18 (Designing for little kids)

Okay, got it. Though I don’t really like red and green–too Christmassy or blue and orange. In theory I like yellow/purple.

It depends on what you mean by “goes with.”

Take blue as your primary color. Blue & green (or blue & purple) are analogous. They look nice together. You hear words like “harmony” when talking about that pairing. Blue & orange are complementary. They can look good together as well, when talking about that combination, you hear words like “vibrancy.” So yes, blue can go with any secondary color. The same is true for the other primary colors.

Of course, things like how bright the colors are, how light or dark they are, and exactly which shade of the colors matters. The wrong blue with the wrong orange will look awful (IMHO, Amy’s blues & oranges were fine together). But the guest judges statement didn’t make any sense.

Yeah, and pretty is what it’s about. I never met anyone who was “different” who didn’t figure that out.

(Yeah, one of my favorite moments, too.)

I loved the petal outfits. LOVED them! I was so sure she would win. Huh. I think perhaps what came across as coral and teal on my TV must have looked very different in person. And it’s clear that the edges of the petals were unraveling, so I cna comprehend the hate.

I also really liked the fifties style set with the Pink/Green child dress and the Black and White Mother’s outfit. I loved that the silhouette drew them together, without the Victorian “We must all make our dresses from this one bolt of fabric” matchiness.

I thought the purple, pointy-shouldered little girl look with the boring too-short skirt Mother look was hideous. Was certain that would go down, and didn;t even make bottom three?

I guess I’ll keep my day job! LOL!
Please add a link for where you are finding the stills? When I go to the Bravo site I get lost among like 20 seasons of pic.s. Can’t find the link to just discussion etc. from the one show. . .

You have to go the Lifetime site or to Project Rungay to get stills for this season–it hasn’t been on Bravo for two seasons now.

Actually saw Models of Runway on the website. There was no extended “YOU MADE IT WORSE AS A MODEL” judging. Poo. I did like Cerri–I think that’s her name. She’s Irish. I like how Heidi was all, “Did you like working with the kids” and Cerri was all, “No not really, even though I’m from Ireland I’m not into the whole big family thing.” She seems no-nonsense and I can relate to the, “Not that into kids” thing better than the “Awww, you’re so cute.” And she likes a clean kitchen which I can respect.

LOL! Thanks! ::Slinks away blushing::

Why was last night’s episode a re-run?

Maybe they didn’t want to do a new one up against the figure skating? I was disappointed, though.

Me, too.

Keep an eye on next week’s schedule.

If the program info from Dish Network is accurate, an episode titled Hard Wear with a 2/25 date will be running next Thursday (March 4), at 9 PM (Eastern) right before the 3/4 episode at 10 PM, which is titled Elements of Fashion.

Thank you gotpasswords. I owe you a beer. (I mis-typed that intially as “I woe you a beer”.)

I read that wiki has the PR winners. My friend said she saw it and she’s not sure if it’s right. Anyone got the four eleven?

Part of me wants to check but I don’t want to know…but I’m tempted!

That might be true for Dish Network, but I’ve scoured our local cable schedule and they’re only showing one episode this week - Hard Wear. If some people get both episodes, we’re going to have to be careful about spoilers…

ETA: Crap, disregard.
