Uh… I’m sure it will be yummy! :0
You can do it!
Actually, it could be tasty. Lots of odd food combinations work surprisingly well. Give it a whirl, and keep some paper nakpins in your pocket to spit into, just in case.
i’m visualizing a dish of pierogies with sour cream. potato and onion pierogies, to be exact.
{for the unenlightened or those of non-Polish descent, pierogies are a noodle-type dough that can be filled with a variety of things: mashed potatoes-and-chedder, mashed potatoes-and-onions, cooked prunes (yum!), sauerkraut (bleeck–thankfully never offered in our family)}. boil pierogies and drain, then serve with some sort of topper. (my husband even uses salsa.) :dubious:
so if you look at the components that you’re being presented (noodles, onions, cream cheese), it’s not all that far off. and i can assure you that pierogies and sour cream are very, VERY edible.
although browned butter and onions is even better than sour cream.
Can’t imagine what could be wrong with cream cheese and onion (even fried) mixed together. Don’t much care for cold noodles though. Will it be a hot or cold lunch?
I hope that_darn_cat ment instant pot noodles (comes in a plastic pot, just add boiling water). Pot noodle sounds interesting, but I’m sure would be illegal in the US.
Cheers, Bippy
This is exactly what I was envisioning. I fried up a batch of potato pierogies with onions and served with sour cream just the other night. Reminded me of grandma’s house, only without the musty smell and false teeth clicking.
I was referring to the instant Ramen noodles in the styrafoam cup. Which, of course, taste just like the styrafoam cup. I won’t speculate on the taste of noodles mixed with any sort of psychoactive herbs. Though, come to think of it, it might be rather like peso.
