A man from Pickering, east of Toronto, fresh from his 46th birthday party with friends, returned home to meet his live-in girlfriend around 3 a.m. yesterday. But, according to police, his night was far from over.

The two began to fight, said Sergeant Paul Malik of Durham Regional Police. During the fight the woman got a hold of her partner’s testicles and yanked so hard she tore them from his scrotum.

“Last we heard, last night he was at Pickering Ajax Hospital waiting for surgery to have them put back in,” Sgt. Malik said. “That was quite the birthday present he got.”

Okay, there was the case of wasisname whose girlfriend used a knife - but brute force? they’re detachable if you tug hard enough? :eek: :eek: :eek:

Okay, there’s an update in today’s G&M - apparently she didn’t pull them off, just tore the scrotum so that one of the boys popped out into the world. The guy apparently bears no ill-will and wants the charges dropped:

“I was just drunk and came home and was slapping around the kid, and she got hold of my nuts and she never knew that her nails were so sharp, and it cut it up the back.”

Mr. Wynn said he didn’t feel much pain – the 12 beers, and all the ginger wine and Jamaican rum he had had at the party helped with that – although the sight of all the blood and his exposed testicle almost made him faint

Mr. Wynn said he knows Ms. Crichton did not intend to hurt him because grabbing his testicles is one of the ways she has got his attention before and she almost passed out when she saw the exposed testicle.

"It’s the way she thinks she can calm me down all the time," he said. "She never figured anything would happen, but the other two times I had my pants on.

all I can say is that when my Beloved holds me there, it’s not to calm me down…

And I want to state for the record that I spent most of yesterday trying to work a comment about ‘caught holding the bag’ somewhere into my post, but haven’t figured out how.
