Pulling sounds from a Shockwave program

I am building a Winbox for a friend, and it would mean a lot to me (a LOT) if I could change some of Window’s stock sounds to those found in the game. I can download the game to my machine (it is free) but I don’t know how (or if it’s possible) to extract the sounds.

It is a simple (simply delightful!) game I’m sure many of you have seen before – Godzilla vs. Tamagotchi. I really want to change the startup sound to “I’m just a cute Tamagotchi, I sure hope no one squooshes me like a bug today,” and other alerts and whatnot to “ouch!” etc. Can anyone help? This would mean more to me than I can express here.

Thanks,

Rhythmdvl

(I’ve e-mailed the game’s owner, but haven’t heard/ don’t know what to expect. This would be a very non-commercial, private use of the sounds.)

The only way I know to record sounds off my PC that is streaming is using a program called Total Recorder. That is the only way I could think of

Wooooo hooo!

THANK YOU!
I’ve been monkeying around with Easy Recorder and Audacity on and off – but never got very far. Thankthanksthanks!!!

Folks, if your city ever gets overrun with Tamagotchi, call DougC!!!

Thanks!

      • I just recorded the audio while I played the game a few times. I couldn’t win the darn game, so I dunno what the end sound is like for that… I just got into messing with Flash (with LiveMotion) and right offhand I couldn’t find any way to crack open a Flash file…?

I’ll probably leave it up there for a couple days. Let me know if it worked or not…?
