So folks, it’s entering one of my favorite times of the year and I’m beginning to plan for Halloween. I’ve decided I want to splurge and get a kick ass costume put together this year - I’m thinking a Cyberpunkish costume.
Now I want some kick ass boots, like totally awesome. Boots which yell “I could stomp a puddle in your chest with my bionic leg!” however everywhere I’ve looked online only goes up to size 12. And I normally wear 14-15 depending on brand (and 16 for Nike).
You might try www.sportsmansguide.com They have lots of boots. I bought some big fat arctic boots in 13 wide. They also have biker boots and logger boots.
Red Wing Shoes specializes in large and odd sized shoes. Check out this search.
I’ve only seen a couple that go up to 16 on the web site, though… Khadro, I’d recommend you try one of their local stores. The salesman can usually come up with something.
These look like they go to usa size 14 or 15, but New Rock are the best Cyberpunk boots on the planet. ( c.f. the assassin on Firefly “Objects in Space” )
caboots.com has lots of costume boots, but not all of them come in larger sizes. I’m not sure what cyberpunk boots look like, so I don’t know if they have anything that would work.
Further to what Bippy said. I own a pair of New Rock boots (These Ones). They are, simply, the best boots I have ever owned. They ought to last for years and look incredible.
If you enjoy clubbing they are great to dance in - no more someone pogo-on-your-toe syndrome. And they really get the cybergoth/cyberpunk thing going.
To me the phrase “punk boots” means one thing: Doc Martens. Granted, it’s a high-dollar boot, but it’ll last you forever, especially if you take care of it.
Take a look at these and these; they’ve got them in your size too, bro.
Well thanks everyone else for the links, Bippy hit what I was looking for on the head - however they’re damn expensive but I can begin saving my pennies. Here’s the one I’m looking at:
Those New Rock boots aren’t my usual style, but I have to admit they are damn awesome. If I was going to be a grim urban vigilante in a stylish black trench coat, I’d totally get a pair.
