Puppy Pictures, for real this time

Last night was the night! Kelsi is now the proud mother of two girl puppies and two boy puppies. Here are some pictures, as promised:

Holy mackerel, that’s so sweet my teef hurt.

Um. Those dogs are NEKKID.

What kind of dogs are they?

Are you sure they are, in fact, dogs?

Seriously, man–WHAT KIND OF DOG IS THAT?

Mexican hairless? Chinese crested?

Do the puppies have the usual intoxicating “puppy smell”?

Inquiring minds, and all!

They are Xoloitzcuintle dogs, or Xolo for short. WTF is that you say? The breed is also known as Mexican Hairless. They are hairless except sometimes they have hair on their head.

Not sure what you mean by the smell, but they don’t smell like anything now that Mommy’s cleaned them.

Rub a fleck of cinnamon into old, oiled leather. That’s new puppy smell.

Ah-ha! I would have typed that, but there was no way I could spell it.

Give mum and puppies a cuddle from me!

Awww. Cute. Give them extra scritches and suck in that puppy smell for me.

Cool! Glad all are healthy. At least you don’t have to deal with the dam blowing her coat when she has pups!

Aaaah puppies! I love new puppy smell and their little doggie breath smells like Cheerios!

Those pups are so cute I think my face is going to exploKABLAM!

Cute!! I looked at all your pictures. My lord, how many animals do you have?

LOL! In a word, lots! Here’s the current list:

Kelsi the Xolo Dog (now with four puppies)
Max the Ferret
Borat and Ali G the Rats
Lanolin (Lanolin? …like sheep’s wool?) the Red Eared Slider
Mickey the Red-Tailed Boa
Gir the Parrotlet

The kitties you saw me holding in the pictures were rescued from our neighborhood last year. Someone released them in the middle of January. They were obviously born to a domestic cat, and we can’t imagine what kind of person would release three kittens like that in the middle of winter. We used our Havahart trap to catch them and gave them to our local kitty rescue, where they were placed in homes. Great success!

We do love animals!
