My whole SDMB is slow. I’m seriously still in “no new search” depression. I just print out some really good threads from Fathom and do my best to translate them at my work bench.

I just hosted a “Fill In The Blank” Feud, one of the questions was “slow as ____”; one of the answers to that questions was “the SDMB server”
A) My neck and upper chest itches fiercely and is covered in a nasty bright red rash.
B) I have to deal with morons on a regular basis and that annoys the crap outta me.
C) Those morons are being needlessly obstructionist which could cost us our funding.
D) Two million dollars is a LOT of money.
E) Even morons should be able to put it together that people have ended up in dumpsters for much less money than that.
F) MUST. NOT. SCRATCH. It will not help and if I give in it will just make me look like a leper zombie with a bad Proactiv habit.

I wish this was just a skeeter bite–I’m running a temperature and it’s brought up a rash on my neck which is fiercely horrible. Having a fever also makes my skin hurt all over so even the IDEA of scratching is repellent but oh-so-insidiously compelling…

Taters don’t you just hate it when doctors get all condescending, especially about menstrual cycles? It’s like they think we don’t live in these damned bodies or something, that we’re gonna be totally unaware of normal processes or something. In the meantime, I feel for your swollen extremities, that’s really unpleasant when you feel like your feet are about to explode or something, bleargh. Hey, alcohol’s a diuretic, perhaps a couple shots of vodka would help!

I plead illness… I’m vaguely deranged and the morons are apparently contagious.
The MMP is about +35 posts from last weeks mark (we only had 315 by the time I made my usual late-night post). This surprised me, seeing how I thought that the general traffic to the SDMB was down. The lack of the search function makes this place seem much less busy, but apparently at least the MMP is still healthy*.
*Once again, of course, this is only bad news for yours truly.

Oh, yes… The Terrible Twins[sup]TM[/sup] went to school all dressed up today in their costumes. Purim. (Remember? From the OP…?) Celebrations at school are today, since they’re off tomorrow and Sunday (even though the holiday is actually tomorrow in Tel-Aviv, Saturday in Jerusalem. Don’t ask.)
Pictures were taken, and will hopefully be uploaded sometime during the tenure of the current Bush administration… :o

I talked to my client last night. Apparently that price is too high. :rolleyes: She didn’t come right out and say that, but it’s a feeling that I got. I emailed her my proposal and I imagine that I’ll be revising it in the next couple days. In my defense, I* told * her that appetizers would be more expensive than just a nice simple meal.

Post pics of the kiddos in costume! When I was in Israel amy moons ago, it was during Purim and the the neighborhood my cousins lived in had all these kids running around in costume. It was the first time I realized that Jewish culture could be the default culture somewhere! So post pics!
