'nother vote for guitar picks. And quarters for pool.
I use mine for quarters. If I’m out for the evening shooting pool (or something else that requires quarters). Beats pulling out the wallet and digging around the bottom of my pocket every time I need coins.
Lucky pound.
Are you serious about the new $5 coin thing?
Wallet, back pocket. Coins, front pocket.
I carry a pocket watch and that’s the pocket for it. They are a bit small for the larger watches. Good thing I’ve got a few to choose from. Although, and I don’t recall who, one of us dopers has a damned nice collection of watches.
I caught a link in another thread and must say I was quite impressed. Several old Patek’s and some really nice RR watches from the 1800’s and turn of the 19th century.
For some reason I can’t wear a wristwatch. Yeah, I know…break out the tinfoil hats.
Sorry, but there’s no B’s in my name. Although tequila does come in bottles, the liquor I mean.
No ‘B’ in my name, either, and I used to carry a pocket watch – plus, I’m a woman. I loved my pocket watch – I just thought it was cool. And I kept it in the watch pocket with the chain draped across the front because I liked the way it looked. I lost a few things when I moved from overseas back to the US and the pocket watch was one of the things that disappeared. Now I carry my lipbalm in the watch pocket when my husband and I are on the motorcycle. It’s easy to get to there. My motorcycle jacket has zippered pockets and is fairly tight – I have to wiggle around a lot to get something out of those pockets, and I don’t like to be too squirmy when we’re in the wind.
I play blues guitar, and on gigs, I find the pocket perfect for holding one or two bottleneck slides.
At school we called it the “johnny pocket” (johnny being UK slang for rubber).
I keep guitar picks in mine.
