Actually, I can’t watch that. All the networks only make the online episodes available to American viewers. It just won’t work for us Canadians.
But that’s ok, because we can watch it a day earlier than you, so nyah nyah nyah! hehehe I think I will very much enjoy watching each episode twice a week… this show is that good!
We also rewatched the second episode yesterday (that’s actually why I only caught the last 15 minutes of the “new one”) since my husband hadn’t seen it. Hubby kept cracking up at the guy cleaning the floor, dancing the salsa during Olive’s song!
He didn’t kill anybody? He stole a plane and crashed it into a building. The pilot and the apartment tenant died in the crash. He most certainly did kill them. It might not be murder, if the laws of he state don’t support that charge, but two people are dead because of what he did.
If I steal a car, hit a slick patch in the road, and run over a pedestrian, ending her life, have I killed her?
I think dropzone is saying the pigeon cause the accident and so it was not the escaping criminal. The pilot still had the stick, so I guess it would be more like if you snuck into someones car, a bird hit their window and the car skidded into a pedestrian killing them.
Change"snuck" to carjack, and I agree. The escapee, while committing a felony, set into motion the events that directly resulted in two deaths.
Look, all I’m saying is that this show has a light hearted take on death, and I appreciate that, but seeing that guy treated sympathetically turns me off, maybe enough to stop watching. The plane crashing into the building didn’t help, either.
I did not find the criminal all that sympathetic. Was it simply because the criminal was not portray as stupid or overly violent? Or because some foolish woman had fallen in love with him via messenger pigeon letters? He did not intend to kill anyone, I am sure he had hopes of the plane landing safely outside the city and not crashing into someone’s apartment. He was portrayed as a white collar criminal and somewhat foolish.
I am not debating you or saying you are wrong, I am just trying to understand the offense* you are taking.
Jim
if this is the wrong word, please substitute anyone that works better.
Personally, I appreciate fiction that doesn’t treat everybody as simply “good guy” and “bad guy.” We get enough of that, especially on television. People are much more complicated than that IRL, and I am sure there are many convicts who have some good qualities, even if they are guilty as sin. And he did get arrested and was going back to jail at the end, so it’s not like he got away with anything. YMMV.
