Put some stank on it...

What does this phrase mean? I’ve heard it used by Tenacious D, in the preview for a movie I never saw (The Wood maybe?) and, according to Google searches, it was also in Liar, Liar. As far as I can tell it means “this time with some oomph” but that’s just a guess. Is it a Wetst Coast thing?

I probably shouldn’t do this… but… It’s a big phat drug reference. Please don’t ask which one.

Boat?

That’s EXACTLY what I thought of when I saw the thread title. “Put… some… stank… on… it… put some stank on it!” “Are we taping? Are we taping? We’re taping, right?” “Dude, that’s the Ice Cream truck song…” “Always record, always record!” “It looked like it was on.” “Dude, sometimes, you’ve got to manufacture inspirato. You’ve got to leave your zone of safety. You’ve got to get out of the apartment.”

Like when KG, pops in Jenny Craig Mac’n’Chee…And hands it to meee…

Tim, I played Lee to the D in NYC this weekend- they were playing at the CMJ music festival. Jack was in Jim Morrison mode (full blown beard, funny look in his eyes) and they played about an hour long set. Not much new but they did cover a Dio song.
