I had a whole post that started with: It’s not Bundy rape unless. . . and then I had a whole lotta stuff much more suited to fanfic. Terrible tenticle fanfic. Or February.
I wait with baited(sic) breath.
Ever notice how it’s only right wingers that throw around the term, “PC”?
Maybe he’s only now getting internet service to his shack in the woods.
Well said, me from a decade ago.
Yeah, I know it’s a zombie, but I’m still watching MWC almost every day…
There’s an episode where Vanna White guest stars as a now rich and famous ex-girlfriend of Al’s from high school. She and Al get back in touch, and Vanna falls in love with him again. She offers to buy him from Peggy for a million dollars or so. At first, Peg eagerly agrees, but when it’s time to actually turn Al over to Vanna, and Peg is going over all the things she does to keep him happy (or at least not fully suicidal), she changes her mind and throws Vanna out of the house.
I just tried it from a fresh VM that has never performed a Google search (to prevent SDMB bias) - this thread is the first result of a search of “Al Peggy Rape”
“Accidentally find” indeed.
I hope you realize that the person you are responding to may have a different opinion now, or may not even be posting on the board anymore.
I distinctly remember every other episode of married with children were the exact opposite takes place. The joke wasn’t that Al was raping Peggy, the joke was that the situation was the opposite of the normal.
You must never have seen an episode with Seven in it. She cared about him to the point of neglecting everyone else (yes, moreso than usual).
Well, it would be self defeating for left wingers to throw it around.
I think the contingent of "rape month"criers are at least as annoying as the sporadic bout of rape related threads. Just sayin’.
Duh, gee, Tennessee. Maybe that’s because left-wingers are the only one who give a rat’s ass about being PC? :dubious:
I think they were equal opportunity spouse rapists. I remember the episode where Peggy announces her pregnancy and Al checks his diary to figure out how it could have happened.
Of course, Peggy’s pregnancy was later revealed to be a dream sequence (after actress Katy Sagal suffered a miscarriage late in her real life pregnancy), but that wasn’t the intention when that scene was written.
I’m pretty sure that, by his own words, he has not changed his opinion from his former opinion. Or were you in such a hurry to get your nose up you didn’t notice he was quoting himself?
Gad, you get windchill from whooshes that strong.
We’ll find out if we get that link to “punch line” again.
I may be wrong but I feel I’m on fairly strong ground here.
That’s good, otherwise that woosh would have toppled you.
I thought it took long enough to get a bite on that one.
Left wingers may have invented the term, and used it for about fifteen minutes, but it was the right wingers that took it and ran with it, and only they use it now.
