Q for women: xxx rated

That would be a real dumb thing to do. In the book, Sexual Addiction, the author states doing that is one of the stupidest things because someone just gets a license plate number & reports them.

The guy is probably spanking his monkey when he is in the chat room!

I’m surprised that no other women have posted first-person accounts, so I will. On two different occasions, I have looked into the car stopped on the street in front of me while I was waiting to cross and seen the male driver…hard at work, so to speak. My reaction was the same on both occasions - yuuukkk. There is nothing even remotely titllating about some greasy, desperate stranger stroking himself in public (though one must speculate that the very inappropriateness of the setting must be part of the turn-on for the practitioner).

As for the comment about flashing being acceptable for women, not so for men, I would like to add my .02, that women’s flashing seems more “normal” because the female image is constantly “flashing” all around us on tv, billboards, magazines, etc. Whether or not nipples are specifically showing, near-naked female images are everywhere. In contrast, the instance of males “flashing” in the media is microscopic by comparison. I would also like to add that, while men would generally find a female flasher to be somewhere on the scale between neutral and arousing, for women, a male flasher generally produces feelings of threat and dangerous intrusion. Women are frequently the object of unwanted and demeaning sexual advances, from obscene comments shouted at them as they walk down the street to outright gropes and more, as I’m sure every woman here can attest to. Therefore, if I see a man exposing and whacking himself in public, even if I don’t perceive any actual threat to myself (as in the case of the men I saw in cars), the instinctive reaction is to immediately feel on guard and ready to deal with a potential assault (verbal or otherwise). I’m not saying that you necessarily expect such an assault to actually HAPPEN, just that the automatic, conditioned emotional response is to go into alert mode as if dealing with a potential threat. Face it, men displaying themselves sexually to a stranger who has not invited it are scary, not erotic, as it implies a sense of forcing oneself on another, even if only visually. I doubt there are any women out there who haven’t had unwanted sexual attention forced on them at some time, and it’s not a fun feeling.

BTW, as for the male organ not being attractive, I disagree completely - maybe you just haven’t seen the right organ. Believe me, to a female, that organ can be very visually pleasing indeed - just not when it’s attached to some filthy stranger.

Yes, I would stop and watch a woman. I’ve been in this situation with the wife at home and I’ve watched her awhile and then joined in (I’ve posted a similar question here 6 or 8 months ago).

I think a man would be more likely to watch a woman in the act for two reasons: men are more voyeuristic (IMHO) and men would not feel threatened (from a violence-harm perspective) if they saw a stranger (female) masturbating.

I think there is a double standard about someone doing this in public. If a woman did it, she’d be viewed (pardon the pun) as an exhibitionist having fun. If a man did it, he’d probably be reported to the police and considered a pervert/threat, even though they’re probably doing it for the same reasons.

I drive an SUV and was flashed by a blonde in a red sports car in the lane next to me at a stop light a few weeks ago. When I told the guys in the office what I saw, they didn’t offer to call the police. They wanted to know if I followed her since she purposely showed me her lacy panties. (No, because she was in the turn lane. Otherwise, I probably would have been looking over at her at the next stoplight too.)

Applause for Cygnus! You have restored some of my faith in the female population! When I was saying that the male organ was not attractive, I was speaking strictly from the POV that Im a male, and don’t want to be looking at other males’ genitalia. (With exception of watching hetero’ porn films)It’s nice to hear that a woman can admit she finds this part of a man visually attractive, in addition to muscles, a nice bum, etc. It’s rare to hear a woman state her visual appeal of said anatomy.

Thanks for the unexpected applause! What a treat - not many of my weeks ever have any applause in them.

I did understand that you were commenting from a male POV in regard to viewing the organs of others; I was being a little silly with you in commenting that you just haven’t seen the right ones. I don’t find anything remotely offensive or distasteful about female genitals, but I’m sure I don’t find the sight of them nearly as interesting as guys do, either. As a rule I restrain myself from explicit sexual posting, but I’ll come right out here and say that yes, I, for one, find my man’s manly parts to be incredibly hot, attractive, sensuous, and sexy, visually and otherwise. I love his face, his arms, his chest, and his cute butt, but savoring the sight of those special parts is very exciting and arousing, and it makes it impossible to just stop at looking. So there.

True, and true.

I think women are much more descreet about it, and it would be difficult to ‘accidentally’ catch someone.

This guy in question is just trying to build up his courage to write erotica on a.s.s.m.

If I saw a man “pleasuring himself” in public I would look to see if there was a quick way out, and take it. If children were anywhere nearby, I would call the cops.

If I saw another woman doing so in public, I’d probably be more bold and tell her something like “Hey Fungirl! Find a room!” And if she was being openly lewd around children, I would call it in as well. No double standards with this “lesbo”, as you put it.

Satan, it sounds like John Rocker missed one when he ranted about the NYC subway. Maybe if he rides the number 7 this week he will run across one of these guys. We can only hope.

Cygnus, great post - I totally agree with the analysis of the threatening nature of male exposure.

Just had to drop in a line from Pink Cadillac, which I plan to use if I am ever flashed:

i would stop and watch.

Heather?!?

Yer putz,
Satan :wally

I HAVE BEEN SMOKE-FREE FOR:
Two months, two weeks, four days, 18 hours, 22 minutes and 29 seconds.
3190 cigarettes not smoked, saving $398.83.
Life saved: 1 week, 4 days, 1 hour, 50 minutes.

Responding to the OP:

A good friend of mine, who shall remain nameless, went to jail for this very offense. 'Nuff said.

I saw a guy doing it once in a handicapped parking space at work but he didn’t have the plaque for the space. He didn’t stay long, he was right near the front door.

Satan, That was the funniest thing I’ve seen in ages!

As far as you could see, was he handicapped?

It’s as simple as this: On average, men are more desperate for women than women are for men. It’s not a double-standard, it’s just one of those faxalife.

Jesus Christ, Jessica, this is why you’re not allowed to go with me to the movies with certain people. [ie: vaughn and anyone else i might end up missing half of the movie with.] I swear I don’t understand these voyeuristic tendencies of yours.

All I know is…I’m pretty desperate for a woman right now. :frowning:

A naked man is a predator.
A naked woman is an object.
