All pregnant inmates get regular prenatal care, whatever tests the attending doc orders for them, and deliver at the local hospital.
In the aforementioned case, social service will get involved to try to place the kid with the mom’s family. I don’t think dad will get involved, other than to get hit for support.
The vindicated inmate’s case is being reviewed. We’ll see if she gets out of seg or not. Usually a lot of charges, relating to other events, can get thrown in at the time too, so just eliminating the one may not result in her getting sprung. Given public opinion however, I suspect she won’t spend much more time there.
