Qin Curtis Shi Lemay Huangdi is a FAKE?

Well, there is an issue of time and experience here, When I was doing work at UC Berkeley I encountered young teachers that thought that Chomsky was dead already, if you ask many college students nowadays they would ask “Noam who?” What is odd is that **Qin **is replying like he had experienced the days where Chomsky was more active or **Qin **had plenty of training in history and politics, both unlikely if he is a high school student as he has claimed before.

 That is something up with which we cannot put!

I always thought Nim Chimpsky would make a better president.

Uhm, looks like he was pretty active… just last month:

OK, I promise not vote for Chomsky for President, even as a write-in. There, problem solved.

Again, I do not see your typical high schooler keeping up with that. You are missing that we are not dealing with Chomsky being disliked by the right or being active enough, it is that being on the radar of a high schooler like **Qin **is very peculiar.

Is it your contention that he is a “typical” high schooler?

But seriously, you don’t think he keeps up with what’s going on in the Occupy movement?

Chomsky is a frequent topic of the right wing drumbeat. He’s easy to portray in their caricature of the mad sociologist liberal academic elite fool. If not for that he would have a much smaller political footprint.

Well, not that the other choice is flattering to him, like **TriPolar **mentions he is more likely to have just the time and inclination to have gotten the caricature view of him from right wing sites.

Congratufuckinglations, OP, for taking this long to figure that out.

Fake conservative and fake high schooler-he’s some 300 pound thirtysomething living in his parent’s basement, living off of peanut butter sandwiches while thinking of new ways to get more nibbles on his hook here.

The typical teenager probably knows things the typical teenager doesn’t know.

The typical teenager doesn’t live 30 years in the past. His political and cultural references are rather dated as a whole.

Could be, but the OP doesn’t even come close to proving it. If he thinks it does, then I suspect the OP is a teenager.

… wot ? Is this a koan or something ?

With the thread title I was expecting proof that Qin was a 75 year old woman from Central Falls, RI, or something like that.

Your first mistake was thinking that he’s bright. He can memorize and regurgitate events and biographies from history books quite well, but he’s never struck me as insightful.

Nah, I’d know her, or know someone who did.

Nope. He’s who who he says he is. YMMV.

The OP is a joke, right? Any teenager who knows who Curtis LeMay and Qin Shi Huangdi are, would also likely know who Noam Chomsky is. I will also note that annoys me when people still call him Curtis. He changed his name. I can’t think of anybody else who changed their name on the SDMB who regularly gets called by their old name this long after the change. It’s childish and intentionally disrespectful.

Or a Berraism. They’re actually rather hard to come up with, at least on purpose.
