Question about a classic holiday song

What is the origin of the song “Jingle Bells, Batman Smells”? Everyone knows this song, but nobody knows where it originated. Was it written by a disgruntled DC Comic writer? Any explanation would help.

Kids are kids
Kids like rhymes and kids loved Batman and kids like playing with classic songs.

We sang God save our biscuit tin, don’t let the ants get in instead of God save our gracious Queen, long live our noble Queen at monday morning assemblies when I was a little tacker.

The batman version of Jingle Bells has been immortalised by Bart Simpson but we thought we were clever singing that 30 years ago.
