In ‘Waiting to Exhale’ (season 2),
Dexter ultimately subdues the mountain-sized gangster Little Chino with a long pointed metal pole designed to stop alligators. He stabs him in the Adam’s apple, and the end of the struggle isn’t shown. When we next see Little Chino tied down in the kill room, he’s able to speak and move his feet (he struggles against the reinforced restraints Dexter’s made).
I know he’s huge, but I would think such a wound would be pretty damaging, at least to the larynx, if not the spine. And possible fatal.
I haven’t seen anything on the show that seemed so glaringly unrealistic. OTOH, I don’t know much about medicine or forensics. TIA.
