I don’t think I understand the episode title. Is it something obvious? Dexter’s dream of having a friend?
Clever of Dexter to leave a message on LaGuerta’s machine that might give him an alibi for at least part of the evening, but won’t the hotel maid remember him? Or is she irrelevant since the murder didn’t happen near the hotel?
Does it matter that Dexter will be using a different knife on Miguel? Did The Skinner always use the same knife? Can they tell what knife was used or is that a CSI thing?
I’m not nuts about Deb looking at her dad’s CI records. Why does she care who Harry slept with? Wasn’t Harry a widower? I can’t remember.
The CI that Harry slept with was Dexter’s mother, before Harry’s wife died and before Dexter came to live there. Dexter lied about finding out from Camilla, he found out long before that- when he was listening to interview tapes that Harry made with Dexter’s mother, there were comments made by her that suggested (strongly) that an affair was going on.
And- I think the dream was Miguel’s- that he thought he could make Dexter his true friend, that they could kill together. He did not plan for Dexter’s “code”.
Smokinjbc, holy crap. I forgot all about that. Can we assume that Camilla destroyed the files? Or is the S3 cliffhanger going to be Deb finding out about Dexter’s traumatic childhood?
Did Dexter use a knife on Miguel? He used a garrote, but I didn’t see him stab him per his usual MO, nor did he take a blood sample from Miguel’s cheek like all his previous deserving victims. But you’re right, it was implied that he was going to use the skinner’s method but we haven’t yet seen it. So um, nevermind because the light bulb just went off over my head. I guess I’d better watch it again in twenty minutes.
Holy shit, this episode had me on the edge of the couch while wishing it would just get over with already because of the tension.
On second thought I don’t think I’ll watch it again.
He dumps Miguel’s body on the ground at the cemetary? That’s a pretty bold move. I guess he decided to dump the body somewhere where it could be found easily.
The giveaway on the party kindnap was the car was a nice Caddy which is what Quinn drives. I noticed that when I saw a replay on Sat.
Yes, preview from next week. His body is on the ground and I’m pretty sure it’s in the same cemetery where Ellen Wolf was found. The body is not covered with dirt so he was not buried.
i have a question. didn’t dexter kill him in Laguerta’s place? he seemed awful nonchalant and taking his time, I wonder where she was and how he was sure she wouldn’t come home…
I wonder if she went to meet Dexter at the bar like he’d mentioned on the answering machine message. There was as shot of the clock and it was about 8:40pm. He’d told Maria to meet him at 9pm, so he probably assumed she’d be on her way to see him and he’d have enough time to take care of Miguel.
It was about 8:40 on the clock, but I thought the message was to meet him at 8 p.m.
It’s gotta take more than a couple hours to set up the kill room, wait for Miguel to show, and then dismember him and clean up the mess. Can’t be LaGuerta’s place.
he wasnt going to dismember him, he wanted it to look like the skinner. maybe it was at ellen’s house? either way, he had a lot of lights on, if it was a residential area i dont know how he’d have so much time. sloppy writing on that it seems
Ellen’s place as the kill room? That sounds good. Poetic justice, even. Having lights on wouldn’t be an issue – neighbors could think it was relatives, clearing things out.
There seemed to be a lot of filler in this episode. Angel and his girl, Masuko and Tammy (but that was funny), Rita and the wedding schedule. And that scene with LaGuerta looking at Miguel’s car registration and drawing circles around the make, model, color was unnecessary. Geez, we get it that you get it! And again, Deb and Quinn without backup. At least this time they thought about it.
Looks like the final episode will be crowded with a lot of stuff going on , even Dexter’s wedding. Maybe that is why they had Miguel whacked last night , they ran out of room in episode 12.
Definitely a lot to cover. The Skinner, the wedding, Ramon, and most important! – Deb’s love life, And are we sure that Quinn doesn’t have anything left to hide? That story line was a waste of time if that’s all it was, a disgrunted ex-girlfriend spreading tales.
I’m wondering what LaGuerta will do about closing the Ellen Wolfe case. Won’t it raise eyebrows if she reveals the evidence against Miguel, now that Miguel is a murder victim? Maybe they’ll just leave that hanging.
