The subject of toys and strap ons came up in a conversation with a lesbian friend the other day. Being a lesbian, she really couldn’t answer the question I was curious about, what is the difference? I figured I would look to my bisexual sisters for the answer, so: Have you ever had a female lover who used one on you, and if so, how does it feel in comparison to a flesh and blood dick, attached to a man. ( If you have experience with a flesh and blood dick NOT attached to a man, I don’t want to know about it! ) Does it feel different inside? Are the thrusting motions a woman using one makes different than those a man makes? Better, worse or just different? Does a man’s pubic bone stimulate your clit in a way the strap on dosen’t? Enquiring minds want to know!
I can’t believe I’m about to say this. You OWE me, Dave.
Flat-out, it’s not the same. Not when another woman uses it, and not when a guy uses it (mine comes apart so it’s either a strap-on or free-standing… ). Regardless of how realistic it looks, you simply can’t replicate the sensation with latex. The feeling is just… off. I greatly prefer the Real Thing. I would bet that no matter how terrific the strap-on/dildo is, or the advances that they’ll take in the future, women will ALWAYS be able to tell the difference.
As far as actual mechanics involved, IME women tend to get the timing of the thrusting wrong. When you’re used to being on the receiving end of things, it’s difficult to adjust to the other role. Practice may make perfect, but I’ve been trying for a long time now with Mr. Bobkitty (good god… uhhh… pretend I didn’t say that, okay?) and others, and I still get tripped up.
Stimulation… well, with a strap-on it’s minimal, so other techniques need to be used. Again a vote in favor of the Real Thing.
I’m just going to press send and go say a few acts of contrition.

It sounds like you had quite an interesting Thanksgiving there, Dave…
Me?? Try bobkitty!
But thank you for the very…complete answer, BK. Anyone else?
Well…ok. I don’t usually go for girls but she sounds like fun and she has her own strap on.
And afterwards I’ll be able to answer your question.
I have nothing to add that directly relates to the OP, but I have heard that a thigh-harness is available that is supposed to make things easier for the woman wearing it. She can use her leg muscles instead of her lower back to power the thrusting movement, and can switch legs is she gets tired.
Your guy comes apart? Literally? He’s a robot?!?
(Hence the danger of selective quoting… :D)
i am speechless. Must be my bible belt indoctrination, even though i’m not religious anymore…lol
Just out of curiosity, why would a guy feel the need to use a strap on dildo with a woman? I mean, he’s already got the parts right there at hand.
SPOOFE… BWAH HA HA HA HA HA HA!!! Thanks for that… I needed it! You’re a total goofball.
Dave… you’re welcome. And I wasn’t even drinking when I posted! Hope it helped a little.
betenoir… I’ll look ya up next time I’m in your neck of the woods. We’ll have a great time.
Ahhh… CnoteChris… let’s see how I can explain this. Everyone else, avert your eyes. Here’s way TMI for ya. See, I mentioned that my strap-on comes apart (the strap-on, NOT the guy, SPOOFE[sub]'cause I know that even though I told you not to look, you’re still looking[/sub]), so you’ve got the harness and the dildo. Sometimes guys (I haven’t found this limited to Mr. Bobkitty) like either watching a girl use the dildo on themselves, or the guy likes to use the dildo on the girl while… recuperating between sessions. That way the guy gets his necessary ‘down time’ but keeps the girl aroused. That explains the dildo part. Now, if you were asking why a guy feels the need to use a strap-on with a woman… how about using your imagination there, eh? And change the possession of the strap-on. Why would a woman feel the need to use a strap-on with a guy? Get it? Every so often the buggerer likes to be the buggered.
Okay… there MUST be more women out there who want to answer this question. Come on… please?? I feel so alone…

i’m just going to leap in and let out a general ‘hooray’ for bobkitty.
and now, i zoom off.
:woosh!:
Years and years ago in FHM grub smith wondered what it would be like and the pros and cons of a giant penis so he went and got a giant 10inch milk bottle diameter fake penis made for him. He wore it out in the streets and was surprised by how many women noticed the huge bulge in his pants . However in the bed room with his gf she was scared of it and in the experience said lots anf lots of foreplay was needed and a need to be extremely gentle + lots of lube
. Turned out the only benifit of a really massive penis was to show off in the showers to other guys and scare other men at urinals , since most women would run away from it.
To begin with- thanks for the info. I don’t know about anyone else, but it’s not TMI for me.
I used to get surprised at things, but now I read and see things and kinda go, “Hmmm. Interesting”.
I’d figured out the strap-on part where the girl wears it with the guy, I just misunderstood the line where the guy would wear it with the girl.
I’m still not sure I understand what you’re saying, but it appears it wasn’t what I originally thought-- the guy wears the full strap on deal and has at it with the gal.
On the other hand…
geepee- You mean to say that your acquaintance had a prosthetic dick made for him? One so well made, in fact, that it could fool guys in the locker room?
How, exactly, did he approach having this thing made?
Now that, bobkitty, surprised me- a guy walking into a prosthetics place and going for broke, “I want a big-ass dick, and I want it now fella!”
I think it depends on the SIZE of the strap-on, and the ability of the person wearing it to key in to what his/her partner is feeling. I mean, a HUGE GIGANTIC GARGANTUAN PHALLUS FROM HELL…no. No, wait, that’s not right…GOOD GOD, NO.
I’ve had a woman use one on me, and it would have been a lot more fun if she had a) paid more attention to, HELLO, my clitoris and b) NOT been doing it mostly to give her boyfriend a thrill.
It’ll never be quite the same as an actual penis, but sometimes I don’t WANT the sensation of an actual penis. I think that if a woman actually used a little bit of logic and physiological know-how, it could be a total and complete blast.
They got belts for those, too? That’s just plain wrong on all sorts of levels…
I’d actually say there’s one BIG difference between receiving it from a strap on and getting it from a real penis. One of the big thrills of that kind of activity for me (specifically, the insert-tab-A-in-slot-B type) is watching my partner enjoy themselves so much. Using a strap on, they’re never gonna get to that knees-of-jelly stage and collapse, so when do you stop?
I guess what it would come down to for me is that I like penises because they’re attached to people who enjoy having them petted. I don’t like them just because they’re shaped a particular way and fit my particular parts. If someone I’m with wants to buy something to make me go “oooh!” then they should pick out a toy that vibrates. Or something that has keys.
Corr, who has a few handcuff fantasies
A Porsche 911 vibrates and has keys, and I’ve never known a woman who wouldn’t rather have one than a strap on dildo.
I’m simply not getting all this with just text. I need two women and a strap-on at my house stat!!!
Yeah…Im really not going to understand this without diagrams
