donates to Make America Great Again
So, Arcite, what tribe are you?
Well, even if depart the Republican party, I’ll still be a proponent of trying free market solutions first, of keeping government roles as small as practical, etc. So my voting as a defector would still work to pull the Democrats back toward the side of reason. It’s not like I’m going to run all the way to Bernie Sanders rallies.
You obviously didn’t listen to the interview PJ O’Rourke gave on NPR yesterday. I know you didn’t say that NONE would vote for her, but just wanted to point out one prominent Republican who is already on record as voting HRC if Trump is nominate.
Yeah, Trump would lose big. He’d lose so BIG, we’d love that he was losing BIG!! It would be terrifically BIG!!!
I have a lot of Republican friends, and I’m going to start asking them this. Even though I still think he won’t get the nod, it’s an interesting question.
I’d vote for Trump just to see heads explode.
Let’s see: heads would not explode if you voted for him; only if he actually won. So, thanks in advance for keeping what’s good for the country in mind!!
I’ll tell you this. Donald Trump will be the best most fantastic loser EVER because everyone loves him!
A lot depends on Trump himself. What if Trump tones it down in the general election and actually runs a fairly disciplined, non-threatening, campaign?
No one would believe in him then. And then becoming non-threatening means that then the skeletons will be tossed at him knowing that he will not show any bravado.
Then I’m going to be looking out the window for a sky filled with flying pigs.
I wouldn’t be so sure. The same strategy that Trump is using to try to appeal to Republicans may not be the same strategy he uses to appeal to the general electorate.
How much of what Trump is doing can he really not control? Sure, he’s not going to be Clinton/Bush level disciplined, but simply dropping to saying one controversial thing a week and not being completely ridiculous in his antics(messing around with his belt, rolling around on the floor) would be a huge change.
As I have seen in the Hispanic media, no, what Trump did say has not been forgotten. And neither will be his tweets where he did lie about the levels of Black violence/killings against white people.
It’s already assumed that Trump won’t draw many votes from minorities. Most Republicans won’t. The question is whether he can appeal to moderate whites.
Not likely as they are indeed moderate and they do have a beef with people that use hate to divide a nation.
I expected Trump to last only after Super Tuesday, but now it looks like my estimation of what will happen in the Republican Convention will become true, it will be a brokered convention or a broken one. With a lot of speakers spewing hate and many Republicans wondering why they are there.
Oh, please. Democrats (and liberals even moreso whether Democrat or beyond) have been using hate to divide the nation for decades.
Yeah, let’s not forget those last minute ads warning African-Americans that they could expect more Fergusons if Republicans were elected.
I think you are confusing the condemnation of hate with hate itself.
And really, the point I made stands, I expect the hate to appear a lot in the Republican convention, it will make the “culture war” scaremongering convention of the 90’s look like child’s play.
Condemnation of hate is fine. Condemnation of a straw man hater that doesn’t exist, this supposed Republican who supports police brutality, is called race baiting.
Sorry, cameras already demonstrated that a lot of the apologists of the police were not correct in continuously denying that it was something as mythical as UFOs, turns out that the increase of cameras on the field showed that UFOs are mythical but police brutality and tampering of evidence by the police does happen to minorities from time to time and it is real.
And once again, what Trump did with his tweet was pure unadulterated race baiting.
