He knows Hillary well.
He knows the political system since he’s been giving money to candidates and causes for years.
He knows how to appeal to the camera.
He knows how to get groups on his side including minorities.
He is addressing the issues of immigration which others ignore. Many AA’s for example are upset about losing job opportunities to immigrants.
I’m actually with octopus with this, I want Trump to be nominated and elected. I want to watch him go up against Bernie —it will be like The Godfather vs a Jewish Gandalf. Then if Trump becomes president he will have to go through the senate and house to get anything done, and the GOP and Demactrats he has insulted will be there. I want to see the Senate and house impeach him. It will all be wildly entertaining!
I’m not sure who I am voting for, I was going to vote for Bernie but I am worried about my stocks and investments and because of that I should vote for Hillary whose sponsored by Merril Lynch and all those investment firms. But I don’t really like Hillary so seriously might just vote trimp.
Does any one know if Bernie Sanders is going to make the stock market go down?
Nonsense. Saying that most of the ones coming here are rapists does not make it much better. What you are doing is grabbing rhetoric from poster in the thread to deny what many did actually condemn Trump about.
Quoting someone isn’t hate, it is just journalism.
I was hoping for an example that is less personal. I am just some guy on the internet, I basically don’t matter. Do you have hateful democratic/‘liberal’ examples with a high profile like Trump or Limbaugh? I really want to know, even if it is just a personal view that I might not agree with or accept. I really want to know what hate you see coming from the Democrats.
This for me. The Tea Party was ticking me off so much in the last presidential election, I voted Democrat for the first time. Trump and the rest of those leading the Republican field are showing such craziness that I’ll continue to vote Democrat
His stance on immigration is “Make them build a wall to keep themselves out”. That’s about as much as it’s humanly possible to ignore the issue.
What, do you think he’s twirling his moustache and saying “I have an evil plan! I’m going to become President and make the stock market go down! Mua-ha-ha!”? It doesn’t work that way. I mean, there are some things a President could do to kill the stock market, but the Republicans are the only ones threatening to do those things. Like, say, cutting off all trade with our second-biggest trading partner.
So really it would be Trump that would crash the stock market- cutting off all trade with China, whenever the Chinese stock market crashes all the stock markets crash.
Trump says a lot of things that make people want him to be the one… This is off the top of my head but…
"I deal with China all the time and I win. These politicians they are sending over their to negotiate deals with China they don’t know what they are doing are losers, I wish they would have read my book “The Art of the Deal” a number one best seller, The politicians are idiots look at how much we have lost to China, America can’t go on losing to China. I will negotiate a better trade deals with China and China will love us!
Another would be…
On Obama care “How could you spend 5 billion dollars on a website that doesn’t work?” “I have websites that cost 3 dollars…” I’m sure Trumps websites cost more than 3 dollars and I know the cost of the website was more like 2 billion, but still the US is the wealthiest country in the world and it can’t even launch a website that works?
So, Trump, I can see why and how he is picking up voters.
People learn of things like this and think the country is sorely in need of someone in the White House who knows how to cut deals and get things done, both of which Trump has been doing successfully for decades.
So what? Trump’s bankruptcies involve an infinitesimally small percentage of the businesses he’s owned and operated.
Lots of movie makers that film hugely successful movies occasionally film clunkers that lose money for their investors too. Does this mean they’re incompetent dumbasses or evil manipulators who only make money buy duping unwary investors?
Of course not. Every successful person fails from time to time, whether it’s Arnold Schwarzenegger, the execs at Sony Studios or Donald Trump. You have to look at their overall record of accomplishment rather than cherry picking the occasional failure, which you’re doing only because it suits you politically. The real money men, the guys who know what they’re doing and aren’t swayed by celebrity, don’t invest money in Donald Trump’s enterprises because they’re fools, they do it because while they know that any project carries an element of risk, the odds overall are that they’re going to do very well in a Trump managed enterprise.
Just putting things in perspective when later many did lose their jobs and hundreds of millions thanks to mismanagement that he is only happy to ignore. In a failure that it is still ongoing as we speak.
How can a bankruptcy be only a small percentage of Trump’s business operations? It seems to me that, by definition, a bankruptcy is 100%. If the other businesses in his empire still had net positive cash flow, why weren’t they supporting Trump Entertainment Resorts?
The bankruptcies I’m familiar with involve specific businesses like casinos and involve four out of literally hundreds of of Trump’s business enterprises. Trump has never filed personal bankruptcy.
On the whole that is like declaring that water is wet, indeed he at least learned about personal finances, but I would not be willing to give him the power to select the people that will manage the nation’s business.
