I went to a HS that had football and basketball teams and others (cross-country, gymnastics) but no homecoming tradition. My class had a 50th reunion that was by invitation only (and very expensive). Although there is an alumni site, they don’t mention class reunions or anything like homecoming. My kids went to HS in Montreal and there are no extramural sports here. On the other hand, their HSs no longer exist. One was switched to a French HS and the other closed for want of students.
Boys only had baseball, basketball, and, believe it or not, shooting. Girls only had basketball. Less than 400 people in all 4 grades.
We had a homecoming dance, but I don’t remember it being tied to any event.
