Before the ceremony, Amy’s mother Pat MacDougall (Georgia Engel) has a conversation with Amy, and she says something about…how once she imagined she would be giving Amy advice about ‘the wedding night’. But it wasn’t needed now! I was wondering what her quote about that was. Anyone remember what she said, in her breathless little voice, to Amy?
AFAICT, she says “I’m sorry; I guess I just pictured my little girl’s wedding a certain way; I used to worry about telling you what to expect – you know, on your wedding night? But you and Robert have already…”
…prompting Amy to respond with a “MOTHER, PLEASE!”…
…prompting the reply of “I’m sorry; you’re right, sweetie; I know it’s a different world, All Fun All The Time; but look at you, you’re like an angel dropped from heaven; and you’ve always been that, for me and your father.”

Funny… I went to re-watch ELR on Netflix last night and now it’s only available on DVD. I wish they’d get more good sitcoms to choose from.
It’s on TVLand on cable sometimes 6 hours a day, every day of the week, as is The King of Queens. I wish they’d find some other good sitcoms, maybe there aren’t many.
I love this ep. Actually, really just Robert and Amy’s first dance. I know this series gets a lot of derision around here but I think it’s a classic.
And Amy looks absolutely ravishing in her wedding gown. I think she was added to the cast as a less than glamorous character, but in this ep she shines!
