I was looking through my photo album last night and realized there were alot of pictures with strangers in the background. Is there a term for having a picture of yourself in someone else’s picture? Did anyone ever do any studies on how many pictures are out there have YOUR face on it, but it was because you happen to be in the same area.
Hmmm. I don’t think there’s a term for that, but it would make an interesting picture trading website. Post pictures with strangers in the background and see if there are any others with you in the background.

I think Maxim does this…or something similar. Someone sends a pic of a party scene (you know you and the fellas are at a bar and you have someone snap a pic for ya) and there’s the guy that no one knows lined up beside you? Then the next month some other reader ID’s him.

I had a picture on there that I took on the first day of Woodstock '99, as this was shortly after that, and watching people go primitive and riot effected me. This chick in the class screamed “Holy Sh*%! That’s ME!” Half a million people, and this chick winds up in my picture. Wierd. [/hyjack]

I think the website is a great idea, but just imagine the web space you would have to have for the endless accounts of pictures you would receive. Then you would have to have someone monitor the pictures so you don’t have explicit pictures out in the open where chilcren could see them. Intresting idea none the less.
