So, we all get some pretty strange gifts this time of year. I for example, as I type these words, am eating a piece of “Original Irish Porter Cheese” that my wife got at a holiday party. I like it, it has a nice sharp, cheesy tang. Kind of like an extra sharp cheddar but not so … cheddary. It’s a brownish yellow cheese with dark brown threads running through it, which in places are so thick and numerous that in most places there are more threads than cheese. And my question is:
Given how it looks and how it tastes, how do you know when it’s gone bad?
I’m sure others have pointless questions about the gifts they’ve received. Feel free to share!
I got a little tiny thermos that holds at most 1.5 cups of liquid. My coffee mug holds more. What’s the point? What do I do with it? It’s very nice quality, but only a leprechaun would get any use out of it.
Your coffee mug holds more, but probably doesn’t keep it as hot as long (or cold as long if you fill it with something cold. If you want your coffee later instead of right now, there you go. Or put some soup in it for lunch on a cold day or something. Or just say thanks an put it in the back of the cupboard and never think of it again until you’re cleaning things out.
