Questions Only thread

What about Jay Leno’s reincarnation of “You Bet Your Life”?

Anyone here a fan of Whose Line Is It Anyway?, a show that has the particular virtue in this thread of its title also ending in a question mark?

Should punctuation really be a factor in one’s choice of TV viewing?

Well, no, but it’s not a bad thing here, is it?

It seems that we are rather fond of question marks, doesn’t it?

Is it the question marks of which we’re fond, or the questions?

Can’t it be both?

Can questions really be questions without question marks?

How do you express a question mark orally?

You mean, like if you were an evangelical preacher with the last name Roberts?

Did Oral Roberts actually spend much time asking questions?

I suppose he was more of a declarative-statement kinda guy, wasn’t he? And that’s not all that unusual among evangelists, is it?

“Dew yew know what happens if you don’t accept Jee-zus as you personal savior? How would yew like an eternity in Hell? You want to be tormented by demons? Why can’t you accept Jee-zus into your heart?”

Boy, did that just prove the point or what?

Those were, like, declarative questions, weren’t they?

Should declarative questions have their own punctuation mark?

Why is a distinction really necessary?

Wouldn’t you want people who are inclined to observe such nuances to have the possibility of doing so?

Sure, why not?

Hasn’t the English language managed to limp along well enough over the centuries without having such punctuation? It seems the current rules of punctuation are violated quite routinely, do we really need to add more rules?
