Quick, fill-in MMP

WOOHOO!!! Congrats grammaKai!

If I could get rid of this stoopid naggin’ cough I’d be over The Sick. I just took some more of the daytime caplets. They taste like mint. It says so right on the box… Cool Ice Caplets… Instant Cooling Sensation.

How you feelin’ rigs? Better, I hope.

w00t, Grandmother Kaiwik!

Just for fun, my favourite photo of me. Now Tel has to post one.

It’s very early. I do not want to go to work. People shouldn’t be up before seven, really.

Love and kisses (through a mask. I don’t want to catch anything). I’ll be at work all day. Try to behave, okay?

Okay, I’ll get brave and post one of me. If that doesn’t scare ya’ll off nothing will. It’s small and cropped beyond belief, but I have to get some more uploaded.

Nice BibKitty. Of course with you being in uniform and all we’ll have to peel Bobbio off the ceiling.

Nice pic of you to LiLi. Sorta Mona Lisa-ish.

Gee, BibKitty, didn’t you have a smaller pic you could share?? :stuck_out_tongue:

I may have one to share after the holidays - I’m hoping to get one of the inlaws to snap a family photo of the three of us. Give you something to look forward to, doesn’t it?

Just got some sad news that will mean nothing to anyone here, but here goes anyway. The wife of my very first boyfriend died just a few hours ago. He’d spent the last few months watching her stolen away by cancer. They have a 13-y/o son. The only thing that’s good is she didn’t linger on until Christmas - that’s one holiday memory you just don’t want. Anyway, even tho I never met her, I’m willing to bet she was a wonderful woman because he was such a special guy. Even if he did dump me…

Sorry - didn’t mean to be a downer. In other news, I’m about to drag my firstborn from her warm bed so a stranger can drill her teeth. I’m such a mean mommy…

<snerk>
Weird dream news, a doubleheader. In the first, I was busy snogging the 7th grade object of my affections, 'cept we were both present age, and my wife was watching and approving.

The second was quite weird. I dreamed there were 3 guys in Gilligan’s Island style gorilla suits (the obviously fake kind), sitting on a thick tree limb, playing the harmonica riff from The Ozark Mountain Daredevils’ If You Want To Get To Heaven
I did not do any halucinogens last night, either…

I’ll have what* he’s * having! <snerk>

It is about the only pic of me ever in which I do not have a double chin, and I’m not squinting. I like it.
[whine]Do I have to go to work and be shouted at by people who are enraged that someone bought the book they were going to buy, godammit, and why can’t I remember the book they want? It was blue! It had a front cover![/whine]

At least I’m not working with anyone who will make me crazy. On Monday I was working both with Incipent Neurotic Cat Lady (Not our CatLady) and a co-worker who is snippy with customers, unefficient, crabby, complains a lot, and gets her feelings hurt by weird, random stuff. I like her, but she’s the least suitable Christmas worker ever.

On preview, Kitty, you’re cute. Bigger picture next time, okay?

FCM, I’m really sorry.

Hey, I found another one of my long lost twin sisters! Nice to meet you, LiLi. Sorry, I don’t have any photos I can link to. There is an old one I can find but it’s not directly linkable. It’s in the “photos” section of the webpage of a game I haven’t played in ages and NOKai set it up so that the addy doesn’t change when you open a different pic…

BibKitty, I like the pic, but I’ll add my voice to the “bigger next time” chorus.

There’s some stuff I need to buy for my apartment. I’d been thinking of hoping over to France, but yesterday I noticed there’s an IKEA at the highway and this morning I located the exit I have to take for it. Maybe they’ll have bedsheets, none of the stores I visited last Saturday did. If they don’t, I’ll go to France.

There’s a sign on the highway I’d love to be able to take a pic of. It lists three towns and each one is in a different country! Is that cool or what?

Congrats to Granny Kai. For some reason, I keep thinking you’re way to young to be a grandmother. In addition to “Location,” we need age and gender, just to keep stuff straight.

And you’re getting snow? I’ll be right over. I love snow. We’re getting rain for Christmas. :frowning:

Found a bigger one. I’m on the left, in green. This was taken in the firehouse kitchen, at our spaghetti dinner fundraiser.

Yay, BibKitty is now a grown BibCat!
FCM - warm thoughts sent the way of your friend and his family…

Nothing like burying the evidence…

Yay! Kai! Another baby in the world! Yay!

I dreamed about rescuing penguins. I stumbled upon an abandoned pick up truck with crates in the back, an the crates were moving and making noises. So my friend and I drove the truck down to Tiera Del Fuego (or however that’s spelled) to dump the boxes in the Antarctic Ocean. The last leg of the trip was thru this tunnel that looked more like the inside of an office building, so it was tough to see the castle at the top of Macu Picu (Yes I know that in reality its nowhere near TdF but whatever) We did finally emerge and I was able to get some breathtaking shots with my camera, then we set about dumping the crates into the ocean. One of the crates contained Will Farrell who had no idea how he’d gotten there, but was quite content to live with the penguins. So we threw him a few pieces of frozen fish sticks and headed home
I don’t know if this was before or after the 7 coworkers dressed as superheroes who, no matter how many pictures I took of them, I could not find on my camera.

Great pics…see? You’re all such lovely people!

FCM, sorry to hear the sad news, Ophie is sending warm thoughts and purrs.

My husband contends penguins are harbingers of doom.

I dunno why…

Well, showered, dressed, and ready to head to the dentist. Laterz, gators!

Congrats, Kai!

Wow. I can’t believe it’s so close to Christmas already. Where the heck does the time go these days? Today and tomorrow are my last full workdays already, and Friday we all bugger off around noon for our semi-posh Christmas luncheon. Then it’s dysfunctional family Christmas time! (Which isn’t usually too bad at Christmas, as everyone mostly has enough sense to keep it civil and respectful) My dad will be coming by this evening (I hope, tomorrow at the latest) and that’s when I’ll be giving him his gift. I know he’ll love it. He’ll be spending a lot of time trying to figure out how to use it, and then calling me up only to hear me say “I dunno, I don’t have one of those things!” but he’ll love it all the same.

The last two days at work have been pretty hectic. My supervisor has been off but I’ve had “help.” Sort of. Monday one of our sales reps was taking over, though his version of “taking over” doesn’t actually involve sitting at the desk to take calls for more than a short period of time at a stretch. And then there was the 90-minute lunch. For the most part I might as well have been alone. On the good side one of the Big Bosses knows this and was gracious enough to thank me for weathering the storm, as he put it. Hee I rather like being the guy that holds this department together.

Oh great, girl on girl action. We’ll never calm Bobbio, Sean, Mindy or Spats down now.

FCM my prayers and thoughts are with your friend and his son. That’s so sad.

ACBG is on his way to west Alabammy. He’s just getting in to Opelikker, AL and about to get on the interstate to Monkeytown. He’s figuring on just missing Monkeytown rush hour traffic. Have I mentioned that the ride to that place in the middle of nowhere he’s from is one of the most og awful rides in the world?

Yaaaaaaaaaay, GrammaKai! Congrats! Babies are fun … as long as you can hand them back to their parents when they’ve got a full diaper. I’ve always hoped I would feel differently about that part if it was ever my baby.

Good luck to tarradad, hope everything goes well.

FCM, that’s sad news. Countering happy thoughts comin’ your way.

Bibby, you look just like the mom of a friend of mine–or maybe not, since I haven’t seen the woman since I was six years old, but in my memory, she looked just like you. She made awesome cookies and never cared if we made a pillow fort out of the living room furniture.

I’ve posted enough pictures of myself, I think you all know what I look like by now. I’m nowhere near as cute as Haze or LiLi, but we’ll be kind and pretend it’s just 'cause I’m older.

Today is Holiday Munchies Day at work. I was lazy and just paid ten dollars rather than make something. But you bet I came to work hungry.

Last night, Roomie and I were both cranky. It’s a hard time of year at both our jobs, and we’ve got two friends who are currently on the outs, which makes us sick of telling one she can’t come over for the evening because the other will be there, yadda yadda yadda. So, to cheer ourselves up, we decided we could each open one present from the enormous pile under the tree. I gave Roomie a Lite Brite Cube, and I got a book called Urban Primitive: Paganism in the Concrete Jungle. Then we played with Lite Brite until we were too tired to put the pegs in right.

And I did almost nothing that was on my list. There is cleaning to be done, and I fell down on the job. I suppose I could clean the whole house on Saturday, but I was thinking I’d pamper myself with a manicure and pedicure, and how am I supposed to clean the house if my nails are wet???

I haven’t baked cookies yet this year, but I’m all for building pillow forts.

That looks like fun! (I am such a child)

Bibs, beyond the obligatory HYD?, you remind me A LOT of a friend I had in college phase 1 who I regarded as my adopted elder sister. Unfortunately, she died Thanksgiving weekend 1999. :frowning:

In light of that, Swampus, let me state for the record that any twitterpation I get from that pic of Bibs and friend and the idea of GoGA is offset by the ooginess of the idea of watching my (virtual) sister.

But, I’ll bet that I could get over it.  :stuck_out_tongue:
