Yikes, just read something that indicates I should be avoiding coffee  alchohol  and chocolate   if I’m having episodes of vertigo. This is NOT to be believed.
rigs, it’s the time of year for head colds and the blues. Hope you feel better.
sean, I missed the pic! Got a linky-link?
fcm, meant to tell you earlier that “the baby” is darling.
Right now, the very idea of a beerverage makes me wanna puke. I’m really sick! I just had some chicken noodle soup and a grilled cheese sammich. That was tres good. I talked to ACBG a bit ago. He is forbidden from the [del]germ factory[/del] swampcave. I need to get over this and he does not need to get it. He’s leaving Wednesday to go see family for Christmas. Driving five plus hours with a head cold is not sump’n anybody should do, hence the banninatin’.
There is good news. My right nostril opened up. I’m takin’ it as a good sign.
Drae the moonboots are chic. I’m sure roomie will love 'em.
Fill better rigs. I’ll honk into a tissue a few times for ya.

Wasn’t there a Sex & The City where Samantha was sick and Carrie made her a blender drink of cold medicine, orange soda and ice? Or something like that - it sounded hideous. She blended it up and Samantha drank it down to feel better?
Jah I like the tp plushie thingys. They are very popular obviously, since they’re sold out.
BibKitty I’ve been suckin’ down the ginger ale. See, yesterday I was both germy and pukey. The ginger ale helped tremendously with the pukey part since today I’m just germy. The only time I want ginger ale is when I’m sick. Other than that I think it’s kinda nasty.
Time for some more drugs and then I’m puttin’ my germy self to bed. Later Y’all!
We all only see one post, swampy. Must be the drugs.
Love the baby pics, FCM.
Happy birthday to the Shiblette. Your kids always sound like lots of fun, Shibb. Hope you have a wonderful dinner together.
We would miss you rigs! And we would send MBG to find you. (And on preview I see that he’d actually send himself…) So stop moping and feel better already!!!
I left work early-ish because I was exhausted. Two colleagues and I gave a 2 1/2-hour presentation this afternoon and it was really tiring. I had to pay really close attention the whole time to make sure no one was screwing up and that took a lot out of me.
But now, I’ve eaten (Trader Joe’s Mini Chicken Tacos - yummmmmmy) and I’m going to go through the pictures I had printed this morning to figure out what I still need to get printed (for some reason, I couldn’t get all the ones in my album to print, so I need to figure out what I missed). Should just be a few, I hope.
Also, I’ll be writing Christmas cards, first for work and then the ones that need to go in the mail. Might actually get them mailed in time to get to most people by Saturday. (That woudl be a record for the past few years.)
Oh…still need to do laundry. At least that’s all sorted.
Back later, maybe. If I don’t fall asleep first. (That do-nothing stuff sounds tempting, but I don’t get to until the weekend.)
Hope I’m not catching whatever’s going around the MMP. ::Looks for germs seeping out the CD drive::
Rigsy, you know we’d all miss you and wonder where you were, and worry. That’s what we do.
Swampy, I’m sorry to read that you’re still ailing. I hate, hate, hate being sick. I’m glad the “pukies” have passed, those are the worst.
Gah! I brought in a package to mail from the post office at work today, and I forgot to go down there! I got all wrapped up in some projects. I’ll need to make sure I get down there tomorrow.
In other news, I just got off the phone with my husband. Seems some aquaintances of ours are splitting up. She wants a child/he doesn’t. Both have legitimate points of view. He already has a nearly grown son from a previous relationship, she’s never had a child. It’s sad, but they’re probably better off splitting up because they’d make each other miserable, otherwise.
MBG, I’m envious of your do-nothing day. I probably won’t have one of those for the next couple, few weeks.
Swampy, ZICAM extreme congestion relief really works. They make a bunch of different products, so look for the nasil spray stuff in the green box.
Did y’all know there’s an outfit called Instant Christmas Pageant? It appears that they give the words (and music) for these little pageants to churchs to use. Last night we went to the kid’s church and watched #3GrandDaughter and #2GrandSon in The Not So Silent Night. The story is that the shephards who visited Jesus in the manger were whoopin’ it up so loud that they were arrested for disturbing the peace, and the pageant was their trial, with flashbacks. Also, events would be interrupted here and there to sing songs, like Angels We Have Heard On High, Away In A Manger, * and * Silent Night!#3GD was Ms. Gotta Lotta, a complaintant, and #2GS was a ram, although he insisted he was a dog. (with horns) He’s 3. Watcha gonna do? Anyway, a good time was had by all, and there was punch and cookies and cake after. Looterans are good like that.
We hung around afterwards to introduce our friend we’d brought along to Pastor Tom and some other folks. He (our friend) is gayer than a box full of canaries, and hasn’t exactly been welcomed at the other churches he’s tried to join around here. Some of those Christians ain’t very Christy iffen ya ask me.
Anyway, everybody was glad to meet him and he thinks he’s found a home. Of course, some of the older folks who don’t cotton to Christmas pageants, or much of anything else, weren’t there, but they don’t like anybody, anyway.
Happy Birthday to the Shibbette!!!
I had a hankerin’ for a big ol’ glass of chocolate soy milk* this morning so while I was at the store this afternoon, I bought some, and when I got home I drank TWO big ol’ glasses. Now I don’t feel so good. URP!
actually, I wanted chocolate milk, but I can’t drink milk, and nobody makes a lactose-free chocolate milk, so I got soy milk.
Riggs, don’t worry, we all feel invisible around here sometimes. And with a family as big as this’n, if somebody goes missing for a little while, sometimes we don’t notice right away, or we figure you’re in the bathroom or something, but we’d miss you, eventually.
Aw…ok, so the lil attention whore who lives inside me has been placated a bit.
Ta.
And may I say-I would miss all of you, too! Nobody would leave only pets behind–your contributions here will live as long as there’s electricity, I guess. Swampus -let us cry into our Kleenex together. I need some chicken soup, but have no energy to make it. Ah, well-I could stand to lose a few pounds.
Oh, and I hereby declare an official new law. It is called the Eleanor Law:
*The times when you make no effort will be the same times an effort will be required.

I found this out today at Walgreen’s (stop me if I’ve told this already-I’m a bit foggy).
I always put on light makeup to go out-I’m not into makeup, but I don’t want to scare people! And I never see anyone I know, anywhere-it’s a bit freaky. Odds are that I would meet someone, but no.
So, today I felt so much like shit, that I decided to just go and get my drugs and not wear any makeup at all. And I met 4 people at Walgreen’s --including the pastor at my church! There I was, crusty nose and all…
Actually rigs, I wouldn’t leave the zoo behind, the zoo wouldn’t leave anything of me uneaten. Speaking of eating, I had jerk style pork chops, rice and salad.
swampy, I will drink an extra beerverage for you. It’s a burden, but you’re worth it.
I’m sorry that so many people are sick. FCM, your babies are all adorable.
I just got home from work and ordered pizza.
I’m really tired.
On the (sort of) up side, and for those who keep track of my occasional book lists, while I was on break I spilled soup on the copy of The Prince of Marshes that I was reading, so now I own it. I do buy the books I ruin. It’s by Rory Stewart (remember him?) the guy who wrote The Places In Between about a little walk he took through Afghanistan. In winter. During the war.
Anyway, this one is about him being sort of appointed governer of a province in Iraq (he’s a diplomat) in 2003. He volunteered. So far he’s gotten instructions on what to do if he’s raped, been set up in a powerless house, and issued a confiscated chrome-plated Kalishnakov. He writes very well, and he’s really intelligent.
Oh, and the guy who did Pyongyang has a second graphic novel about China.
I’m going to go off, make a grocery list, and die in a corner. I don’t want the rest of the week. I don’t. Aagh.
That happens to me at work all the time! No matter how much I do, there’s always something else I should have done. And people only notice when you make a mistake.
swampy, I hope you feel better! You know it’s bad when you’re too sick to drink beer.
Shibby, your kids are too cute! Happy birthday to Shibbolette!
You know what just occurred to me: two more years and that little Shibblette (how many ways can we spell her nick?) could be a Doper. My niece could sign up late next year. How is that possible?
Hi Magic Eyes. It’s so nice to see you around here again!
I guess tired is going around, too. You read the most interesting stuff, LiLi!
I’ve sorted through pics so that I can put them in the album tomorrow.
And I’ve finally found my Christmas card list. And I think it’s complete - I added a few and took a few off. Guess I’ll start putting them together.
Got a card today (well, letter, mostly) from one of my cousins. He never sends his cards this early. I usually get them in January or February. Don’t know what’s gotten into him.
I’m really really tired, though, so maybe the cards will wait till tomorrow.
