Right now it’s “Valentine” by The Replacements.
Skinnamarink, unfortunately. I learned it for one of my library storytimes (I worked out a great arrangement for it on uke, too!) and now it’s stuck in my head. The chording is much more complex than my usual storytime songs, so I’ve had to spend some time working on it. I played it first thing this morning and it’s been stuck in my ever since.
“Georgy Girl,” by the Seekers.
Adia, Sarah McLachlan. Not happy about it.
Believe it or not, it’s Rio by Duran Duran!! I’m working with some data and that is someone’s last name!
“Alexander Hamilton”.
This one lodges itself into my brain at least once a day.
mmm
Houndmouth, “Sedona”
Hey, little Hollywood, you’re gone but you’re not forgotten…
Elvis Presley - Burning Love. (I keep bouncing between that and the studio version, but I prefer this one.)
Loggins and Messina: Love My Music.
*God knows that I love my music
Ain’t no one gonna change my tune
Don’t ya know that I love my music
Ain’t never gonna change my tune

Born to Die in Berlin by the Ramones:
I forgot how much I liked this song until I heard it again last week.
Because it’s Super Tuesday, I’m super, thanks for asking!
I think I have the world’s most annoying ear worm right now. For several days, at random moments, I start singing “Take a Letter, Maria.”
For the love of my sanity, someone make it stop.
Justin Bieber’s Love Yourself . Go ahead, listen to it one time and tell me it isn’t catchy (the clip is from Ellen ).
Right at the moment, Far From the Home I Love, from Fiddler on the Roof.
It’s not one of the world’s worst songs, because there’s a lot of room down there. But I’m still glad that one’s never gotten stuck in my head.
I heard it somewhere, probably over a supermarket’s PA system, six or eight months back, and when you actually think about the lyrics, it’s a pretty damn stupid song.
I’d advise one dose of Florence + the Machine’s “Ship To Wreck”. I’m not crazy about the video, but the song is kick-ass, and should dispose of your earworm.
For some reason, Janis Joplin’s version of “Me and Bobby McGee” has been echoing in the emptiness for the last week.
You Made Me so Very Happy by BST. I hate that song…
I’ve been playing To Be or Not to Be, and finally decided to do a run actually following the play’s plot, and when I got to Hamlet talking to Rosencrantz and Guildenstern about his depression… Well, given the crowd, I think most of you can guess what got stuck in my head.
