Love Can Make You Happy

I have no idea why
My husband and I were just discussing Tracey Ullman’s new BBC show, Tracey Ullman’s Show, and I almost immediately got “They Don’t Know” as my earworm. It’s still just hanging around.
Punk Rock Girl by The Dead Milkmen. I should probably see a therapist.
I’ve been unconciosly mashing up these two similar songs in my head.
Leon Russell Tight Rope - YouTubeBruce Springsteen’s “Blinded by the Light”.
I’m reading Bruce’s autobiography (which is actually pretty good) and he just reached Greetings from Asbury Park.
Horst Jankowski & His Orchestra: A Walk In the Black Forest (1965).
A really odd one. Not just because you hear it so rarely now, if at all, but that I have no idea how it got in there. My brain, it’s melting, it’s melting.
You guys are lucky… you get real songs stuck in your head.
I tend to get the theme songs to the childrens shows my boys like to watch stuck in my head. Or if the shows have songs embedded in the episodes, they’ll get stuck too.
Walk around for 2-3 days with “Go Go Thomas!”, or the themes from “Ready Jet Go!” or “Tickety Toc” stuck in your head, and you’ll be wishing it was a real song.
I’ve been listening to a lot of Brick+Mortar.
The Muppets song, Mahna Mahna, Pa Tee-Pi Teep-Pi.
As sung by Donald Trump, DONALD TRUMP : The Muppet Show Mashup - YouTube
History was made last night, and we were singing in a bar. The tune is still ringing in my brain:
GO CUBS GO, GO CUBS GO!
Hey, Chicago, whaddaya say? The Cubs are gonna win today!
For at least the past week I’ve been intermittently tortured by Georgy Girl. God help me, I’ve always HATED that ickypoo dreck.
I always have a theme running in the back of my mind. Currently its the fight music to Dragon age origins which I’ve been playing recently.
Cripes. Since I watched this a few days ago I keep going back to it as I can’t get the music out of my head. I’ve listened to this at least 20 times today.
I just finished catching up on some of the Elections threads, came upon this thread, and only then realize I’ve been earworming the 50’s theme song for the film “The Blob.” The same few measures over and over… " (pop! sound effect) Beware of the blob it creeps, it leaps, it glides and slides…"
I’ve no idea how, why, or if President-Elect The Donald lit up those particular brain cells.
At a restaurant over the weekend I heard that 80’s song Pulling Mussels From A Shell, and I can’t stop hearing it. In the 80’s I scoffed at it, today I’d say it’s kinda catchy. I wouldn’t pay money to hear it, as it is obviously available for free about a thousand times in my head after hearing it once.
This.
I currently have “The Night Begins To Shine” by B.E.R. from Teen Titans, Go! in my head. I do not want it there, but there it is.
The Ramones Howling At The Moon (Sha-La-La).
Good song to wake up and get going to on a Tuesday. Click it.
Running through my mind lately:
Sia with Sean Paul, “Cheap Thrills”
Mike Posner, “I Took A Pill in Ibiza”
Genesis, “Keep It Dark”
Javier Colon, “Gravity”
David Guetta feat. Nicki Minaj, Bebe Rexha & Afrojack, “Hey Mama”
Chicago’s Lowdown has been playing pretty much non-stop in my brain since the election.
