Sofia Karlberg’s sultry cover of Beyonce’s “Crazy In Love” - better than the original, I’d say: Sofia Karlberg - Crazy In Love (lyrics) - Fifty shades of grey trailer - YouTube
"Put the Blame on Mame."I watched Gilda the other night. I defy you to get this out of your head, once you’ve heard it.
Anyway, that’s the story that went around.
Good Times by the Stone Roses.
Hadn’t listened to that album for a while now its in my head.
.
“Video Killed the Radio Star,” by The Buggles.
Girls’ Generation has been around for 11 years but their new song, “Lil’ Touch”, just released on Wednesday, is one of their best. I can’t get it out of my head:
Mr. Blue Sky. It kicked off the other day when someone mentioned an ELO song. My brain started cycling through all the ELO songs I know and got stuck on this one. It is a favorite of a little boy who is a family friend, so there’s a happy association there. I don’t mind it too much, it’s a good song.
Yes, it is a good song, but ELO’s ‘Can’t Get it out of My Head’ would have been a better fit here.
My current earworm is ‘Georgie Girl’. Ugh, make it stop.
“Melissa” by the Allman Brothers.
Truckin’
Try this version. It’s somewhat less lugubrious.
Strauss’s Also sprach Zarathustra. There’s so much more good stuff to it than the famous opening fanfare (which, having seen a 4K restoration of 2001: A Space Odyssey this weekend, has been running through my mind): Richard Strauss - Also sprach Zarathustra, Op. 30 - YouTube
I’ve been listeneing to a lot of Hair Nation on Sirius XM lately. My latest guilty pleasure has been Cold Blood by Kix.
This is often a fill-in earworm until something more evil comes along.
I don’t mind it at all. It’s a great, catchy tune that I never grow tired of.
It can occupy my mind any time it wants to. It’s got the ways and means.
mmm
When we’re driving as a family, sometimes we’ll go around and each person chooses a song to play. I chose this one on Sunday so it’s been bouncing around in my head since.
Lydia the Tattoed Lady
A bit ago got to the Ramones folder on the card in my car stereo. Lots of earworminess stuff there. But the winner of the group is Danny Says. The line “Watching Get Smart on TV” particularly resonates. One of the oldie channel’s listings showed a Get Smart marathon last weekend. I picked several to record. All came up infomercials.
I want to watch Get Smart on TV, dagnabit.
Out of Time by Hidden Citizens ft. Erin McCarley
I play it over and over again.
Shit. I had no earworm until I read this title. Now it’s “Party In the U.S.A.” by Miley Syrus. And now I hope that is your earworm too.
