I would be glad to learn that if someone would show me what it is.
[noparse]
[/noparse]
Put [noparse][noparse][/noparse]* around something and the code shows up as text and stops acting like code. (I wrapped the quote above in noparse brackets).
Here’s a link to youtube.
Here’s what it looks like with noparse brackets. For example, if I wanted to show someone how to make it.
[noparse]Here’s a link to youtube.[/noparse]
And if I wanted to show someone how I did that, I would do this
[noparse][noparse]Here’s a link to youtube.[/noparse][/noparse]
*Took me a bunch of previews to realize that that noparse was throwing all the rest of the coding off. All the other noparses were opening and closing at the wrong times. I’ve now wrapped it in noparse brackets.
Thank you, Joey P. It is rather unhelpful to tell someone to learn how to use something without showing them an example. You helped me learn something and I appreciate it.
And your edit helped me even further. It’s something that’s good to know how to use when helping other members with coding questions, too. So thanks again.
Well, I laughed, at least. Up the dosage.

Up yours.
Scotch. Make it a double; I’m starving.

I serve cask strength. Trust me-you’ll be seein’ double in no time.

I am not asking if re-quoting long posts is against the rules, or against board etiquette.

That explains why the horizon is oscillating, but why are Seraphim flying around singing The Rolling Stones “Paint It Black”?

I used to take Zoloft.
Scared yet?
And so, a second page (for many) was thus borne.
Sorry, I thought it was obvious that “noparse” was the tag to use, just like “quote”.
If you have any questions about formatting/coding, you can go to the bottom of the page, find the “Posting Rules” box at the bottom left, in the second pane is “BB code is On”. That is alinkto information on all the various codes and how they work.
Thank you. I’ve been here for seven years and didn’t know that, so no, it wasn’t quite so obvious. Just as other members keep asking about the strikeover code. It’s there, but some people don’t know it unless you point it out. But thank you for returning to clarify your answer.
**Nit **pick. ![]()
Extra strain on the servers? Good heavens, servers are made of sterner stuff than that. Unless you are measuring your life in microseconds a hundred, nay a thousand, posters could cite a huge screed and you would notice no difference in response time whatever. Scrolling time is another matter but I’d gladly spend a couple of extra seconds scrolling for the sake of a good joke.
And Czarcasm’s was a good joke.
a nit pick nit pick! excellent!
