I hate this year.
It’s not right, she was fighting so hard.
Her memory will always be a blessing to me.
Sharon Jones was fantastic. She was an artist that made great music out of everything she sang, such an amazing voice and presence. I often hear young or naive people make ridiculous laments about the state of today’s music. She is one of those artist I would want to point out and say, listen there is greatness out there, find it and feel honored that this is happening in your time! And we have lost her.
I just can’t believe this year.
I’m Not Gonna Cry. She was a huge talent, and she always looked so happy doing her thing. Screw this year.
