Thank you.
I need to cross stitch this on a pillow or something. You make a lot of sense, Shag.
Thanks for taking the time to share your almost completely worthless ramblings. As you bear the moniker of a true hero your words have betrayed you as nothing more than a boy. I could tell you what I really feel about your statements in the words of a man, but I won’t waste our time. Let me throw you one bit of advice, and be sure some of the women that frequent these boards could stand to take heed of it as well. Don’t let your heart, or a lack thereof, cause you to push those away that might actually need your help. Your failure to take note in my op that I was not seeking advice, meerly freeing my mind of something that caused me consternation for a time, tells me the chances of taking said advice to heart are very slim indeed. So you enjoy your trip down lifes path and I’ll walk mine.
No, that’s less annoying.

I try to be diligent about reading the entire thread before posting but I swear I didn’t see that ((Soul’s post #15).
Soul, you’re in the Paragraph Posse.
Would you be interested in actually explaining to me how you didn’t act like a chickenshit coward? You heard something you thought was wrong, you didn’t do anything about it, and then, after a long time of soul searching and overly melodramatic whinging about it, you decided to… post on a message board that you’re going to apologize for someone else’s actions?
You put this in the Pit, not in MPSIMS. If you were looking for love and support, you put it in the wrong place. if you were looking to rail against a racist system… well, your actions that day were part of the problem.
As far as ‘Diomedes’ goes… well, he was a man who got angry because he saw someone who was capable of performing their responsibility to society, but failed to do so because of too much self-reflection which stopped him from action. I feel pretty okay with my username choice today.
Omegaman deserves to have these threads hijacked when he refuses to use paragraphs.
Why do you people even bother reading his impossible-to-follow OPs?
Because there’s real content in them. That and masochism.
Well I work in a new car dealership, not a corral, clown. Team work is what makes one operate efficiently. I work in a hands on industry, you know, the one that gets you to and from your yoga classes. So you take it easy there son, don’t let that check engine light on your dash scare you none. We’ll keep those babys rolling safe for you.
Omegaman, your ad hominem and non sequitur attacks are getting ridiculous. Why can’t you just respond to the argument, rather than going off on a tangent about needing to be loved and taking yoga classes?
I don’t get it, OM… first you snivel on about your own impotence to do the right thing in the face of adversity. Then you try to strike a pose as if you’re an almost painfully polite gent trying to deal with some barbarian. And now you’re trying to seem like you’re some sort of ubermale because you work in a shop?
I know it’s the internet, and part of the fun is trying on new personalities, but try to keep your pretences stable within the same thread, eh?
Oh… I drive a 70’s MG. No check engine light.
I’m a Sumo champion. And a jockey at Churchill Downs. I drive a car I made myself from parts I molded with my hands.
I don’t see why you don’t just ride the horsies around from sumo arena to sumo arena…
I don’t need to posture. I know exactly what I’m dealing with. Children. You learned a few words and possibly you bought yourself some new duds, but still. Children. Don’t worry, you’ll grow up soon enough.
Jesus, no wonder he was on lekatt’s side.
I needed to edit this but I had to get away from work. I should have used the word juvenile(s). No need to cause any more offense than was intended. Tough day, customers as crabby as all get out. You guys have a fun filled weekend. I remember when I was younger I tore it up living in Las Vegas. My crew and I got kicked out of quite a few casinos for raising hell. The Horseshoe was a place know for hardcore security guards. I’ll bet some of those guys are in prison to this day for their shenanigans back in the 80’s and 90’s.
I’ll take Rambling Non-Sequiturs for $1000, please Alex.
Maybe he’s Justthink’s slightly more coherant little brother?
Well, I think you’re basically a sweetheart. People like you aren’t the fucking problem… the people who have the problem don’t even know how wrong in the head they are. The fact that you felt guilt and a need to rectify the situation speaks volumes, to me, about your character. The best thing to do is just take the experience and learn from it, and let the way you feel now inform your actions in the future whenever you are in similar situations. It’s not easy to speak up. I know this from experience, because I often don’t, especially around certain members of my family. They know how I feel. Nothing I say is going to change their ignorance. Though having the victims of racism around at the time, knowing they are hurt – that puts a whole new spin on things, doesn’t it? I would have to speak up. And deep down you know that’s what you need to do. That is why you are good. Don’t be so hard on yourself, and enjoy your weekend.*
*this block of text in honor of OM. I figured it’d be a more effective means of communication.
Oh, Look who’s talkin’ I think I might be a little red in the face.
Women like you make the world worth fighting for.
