Reminds me of the good ol’ days when me & my hoodlum friends would take a table at El Torito and hang out for two hours, without ever ordering anything. We’d ask for more water, chips & salsa…then more water, chips & salsa…maybe order a Coke or two if the waitress starts giving us dirty looks. Generally I’d be the first to feel guilty and actually ask for an appetizer, such as guacamole dip for the chips, which was only $1.50 back then. Eventually we’d pay the tab (always less than 10 dollars), leave a nickel tip, and be on our merry way.
We never did have gay sex with each other, however. Looking back, maybe we should have.

Why on earth is it pathetic? I mean, your summary of it completely misses the point and all, to the extent that I had to reread carefully to figure out how you got that from the summary. But even stipulating your weird summary–focusing on my suggestion that it takes “dumb” teenagers to mock Gary for the message to stick–either you’re totally clueless about the use of “dumb” in this context, or you have some serious contempt for teenagers beyond what I show in my hyperbole, or else you’re really just here to kneejerk defend someone you see as a conservative.

In that instance, they were refused service. I am talking about when they aren’t. No matter how much they wish they were.

I don’t think you get it. In the case you cited, the activists were protesting the actions of the business - in not serving them. In this case, the activists are decrying the opinions of the business owner, with a sketchy “he said-he said” kind of “evidence” that the opinions are ever put into actions. That is, they are protesting a “thought crime”.
Good news is, your contempt for uppity queers and queer-lovers guarantees you a warm seat at Gary’s, if you hurry. I recommend the Oklahoma prairie oysters. Would you care to sample mine?
