Hiya!
Well, this morning is bright and sunny, not a cloud in sight. It’s pretty warm outside but it’s not too humid. (Surprise, surprise.) Last night during the little storm I had here, I checked http://www.weather.com and it predicts more rain Monday night. Yippee!! I just hope it’s not quite so bad as last night. Hail? No thank you.
Are you a Minnesotan also?
And how are you going to spend your beautiful day?
We are going to a barbecue put on by someone my s.o. works with.
sandyr, my morning glories are open. Have you heard any predictions about when our first frost will be?
Nope, sorry, Spider. You might want to check the DNR site…don’t have it handy - just type Minnesota DNR into a search engine. They might have it. It seems to me that the frost usually happens around the same time the leaves change, and that is definitely on the DNR site.
Silver Fire
You didn’t get damage from that hail last night, did you? Or was it just those little specks?
Yep, Spider, I’m in Minnesota. Pine County. Hmm…what shall I do today? I’ll probably go pick up my sister and take her out to do something. I’m not really sure yet.
Sandy: My apple trees suffered a bit as did some of my flowers. I found a few dents about the size of a quarter on my car. Not much damage at all. Not nearly as much as I had expected anyway.
Speaking of rain. It stopped raining!! Whoo hoo!! I can see the sun again!!!
Well, Spider, to answer your question…
There were frost warning up north last night, and more tonight.
And the leaves are just starting to turn!! Go up 15 to Hennens and hang a right down the river road - it’s just starting to get gorgeous…The sumac is beautiful right now against the green.
I’m going to go out on a very long limb and predict we’ll have frost warnings here within the next…9 days. Bet me a quarter?
Yo! aha-
Your rainless streak should be over, if I were to believe the news.
You got some rain, ehhh?
Heellooow Minnesotans again.
Hellavu football game. Too bad I don’t remember the score, I’m pretty sure we one.
Frost is coming to the north this week and next, with the Southern part of the state getting in on the freeze in the next two weeks.
They say the leaves will change fast because of the wild temperature fluctuations lately. Too bad. It’s one of my favorite times of the year.
I guess I will have to start watching carefully for frost warnings so I can cover my flowers (postponing the inevitable).
