So the SO and I were walking back to our apt from Safeway with various junk food to gorge on, and as we were crossing the street to our apt complex, I notice the SO looking up. In the apt a few doors down, the light is on in one of the rooms, and there is this topless, well-endowed girl cleaning her window. We looked at each other, and we were both giving each other the “are you seeing what I’m seeing look?”. I just said “oh my god, is she topless??” And all the SO could say was “so it’s not just me!”
She was standing there with one of those dusting Swiffer thingies cleaning the top of her blinds, oblivious to her nudity and people walking down the street talking pretty loudly.
After we got to the apartment and put the food away, we were tempted to go back outside and see if she was still there and perhaps let her know that she was pretty exposed. But hey, she’s an adult, she should know better. And gave us a nice story to tell other people.
Is it so wrong that we just wanted to stand there and stare? Is it because of the naughtiness or is it because you never ever see things like that except in a porno?
I don’t think you did anything wrong to stare, it was an unusual sight! It just happened to be a half-naked woman that was the unusual sight. Now if you’d taken pictures or something, that might be naughty.
You mentioned your SO looked up, was she on the second floor? Maybe she thought nobody was looking or couldn’t see because of the angle. I know I was caught in the kitchen in my undies by people walking by because nobody ever walked by. Ha!
Haha if my SO had a camera phone I wouldn’t put it past him to take a picture and send it to some of his buddies. This was his, and I quote, “the most interesting story I have from college so far” and we’re both finishing next year.
She was on the second floor, but there were no trees or anything obstructing the view of her window from the street. If you can see me, I can see you. And I assume she heard us because we were talking normally and you can usually hear people talking across the street if you have your window open. Was she just an exhibitionist? If so, then I bet the guys around here will be very happy!
A few years ago I was doing some chores in my backyard, I could hear a teenaged neighbor and a friend of her’s talking. One made a comment I had had a witty reply so I looked over the fence to tell them, both were sunbathing topless and apparently did not know they could easily be seen. I quietly went back into my house and told my wife. We decided to not tell the teen’s mother, she can be weird and probably would have accused me of being a pervert.
If the lights were on inside and off outside, she might not have seen anything but her own reflection in the window–some people don’t get that.
A friend of mine had mylar coating on her windows to keep the afternoon sun (it reflected light away from the house); she thought this worked at night, too… she’d go into that room at night to practice trumpet and, if it was hot, she’d be topless. When her neighbors moved out, the last thing they did before jumping into the truck and driving away was to point out that one-way mirrors, when backlit, are more properly called “windows”.
