Today: Discovering that a friend who lives in England not only remembered I’m taking my driver’s test on Friday, but took the time to send me a good-luck card through snail mail.
General: It raining all day, and then stopping just in time for me to walk home from school.
Having a particularly troublesome student in one of the tae kwon do classes I assist with not only listen to all given directions, without complaint, but do well in a complicated drill.
When my dog jumps up to come greet me when I walk in the door, even though she’s old and arthritic.
Seeing my cat go to drink water out of a glass, sticking her face a little too far in, and jerking back and coughing. Shouldn’t be hilarious, but it sure was! She then stuck her paw in and licked it. Better safe than sorry, I guess.
Going to the other diner on campus and having my first ever portabella mushroom sub.
Walking back from the diner and seeing trees with bright red, orange, and yellow leaves fading into each other.
Having rainy days that are not too cold, and just a bit drippy. It really brings out the color of the trees. (Seriously. I stopped dead when I saw them. They were absolutely gorgeous.)
Working out a tricky plot problem in the prewriting for my novel.
