In B4 August!
My son had surgery Monday and he’s been recovering while I’ve been working my ass off at home, trying to regularly force fluids into him while writing an absurd number of grants. Today he decided to have a shrieking meltdown over my serving him the wrong brand of Bear Grahams. I think he’s had too much TV but we expected this because he needs to be resting, not tearing around the house.
In the area of personal growth, I’ve decided that if nobody at my agency gives a shit about grant reports, neither do I, and I’m done working at night to get reports in on time because others couldn’t be arsed to give me the info I needed until 7pm.
It is the evening of July 31st, 3rd quarter reports were due yesterday, and I still don’t have the information I requested two weeks ago. I texted Always Late to get it to me by Monday morning, because the hell if I’m going to write grant reports on the weekend. This is the first weekend I haven’t had to work in several weeks, I’ve had a long-ass week, and I’d rather submit a late report than be inconvenienced by these chucklefucks.
Oh yeah and according to my therapist’s assessment tools, the only mental health problem I officially have any more is mild anxiety. I’m even subclinical for PTSD.
I think I’m turning a corner on not letting other people’s bullshit be my problem.
