Raping comatose children for decades

I agree. A better name would be Marion, or something.

Or Sue.

It’s more of a hobby, really.

Curiously, that’s exactly the theory posited by Chuck Sheperd in the News of the Weird link cited.

Sailboat

New tagline:

The Straight Dope: Raping comatose children for decades (It’s taking longer than we thought)

DAMN YOU FOR MAKING ME LAUGH SO HARD I PULLED SOMETHING IN MY SIDE TRYING TO HOLD THE LAUGHTER IN!!!

This points out to me one of the great strengths of this Board, the ability to hear rational arguments on both sides of the issues. Even though the partisans going at it hammer and tongs in some of the most contentious threads don’t think they are making a difference, the uninformed can read those threads and make up their minds on some really challenging issues of the day.

I too am waiting to see further discussion in this thread so I can decide in an informed manner what I should think about the issue of fucking comatose children.

Keep up the fight against ignorance, guys.

Google Wayne Williams, the Atlanta child serial killer, for starters.

Actually, seeing the thread title I thought this was going to be another rant about State Farm Insurance.

It’s a bird! It’s a plane! Well, it was something that went “Whoosh”, anyway…

I fell into that same pit not long ago. Just know that Vinyl Turnip has a finely developed and rather wry sense of humor; his post is much more rewarding that way.

and, unless I’m mistaken, perhaps you, too, should look up.

Yeah? Maybe. I actually read it that way until the last line of his post, which didn’t fit in for that interpretation.

Well, I’ll take your word on that…

Well, I’m PO’d at you being PO’d at his RO.

Sorry, throw me in the rubbish bin with the other folks who thought “damn Waynes are at it again.”

Fucking sicko.

Meanwhile, back at stately Wayne Manor…

Okay, thats so many places removed from you personally that it counts as RO

Why do you people keep bringing reverse osmosis into this? Granted, it’s a rather silly name for what’s basically filtration, but is it really worth getting worked up over? Or are there really that many distillation adherents on this board?

Actually, you’re correct that I must have been wooshed.

All this time I’ve been looking forward to this thread turning into a balanced, well-cited, closely-reasoned discussion of the ethical pros and cons of raping comatose children.

I must have missed the point entirely, and I thank you for pointing it out to me.

So I guess in the future we’ll be looking out for guys named “Clint” or “Arnold.”

Or maybe “George.”

Employees can also make a case for violations of their privacy, unfortunately.

I recall an episode of “Dr. G” in which she was examining the death of a nursing home patient that turned out to have been beaten to death in his room by an employee. IIRC, the employee’s attorney invoked privacy violations and the cameras were subsequently removed.
